Let's offer reverence and praise to the fire deity! Generate a mandala in the stomach of the fire deity and dissolve it. Offer seven portions of sacrificial food, and perform a brief offering and praise. Recite: OM HUM TRAM SHRIH AH JAH HUM BAM HOH. May all diseases, evil spirits, sins, obscurations, obstacles, and hindrances of myself, my master, retinue, and all others be pacified. Offer the substances for burning a hundred or a thousand times with this. Again, offer and praise, and pray: Whatever faults I have committed in this virtuous act due to my foolish mind, and all beings whom I have protected, please, protector, forgive all of that. OM VAJRA MUH SHE YE SHE PA SHE. Invite the wisdom being to descend, and gather the samaya being into oneself. Invite the guests of the wealth deity, Dharma protectors, four owners, and all bhutas ( भूत, bhūta, ghost) etc., in an instant with your mind. Recite their respective mantras, or recite: Namah sarva tathagatayebhyo vishva mukhe bhyah sarva tha kham udgate spharana imam gagana kham. After offering, send them back to their respective places. Then, visualize the fire deity and offer a hundred and eight times etc. with the same mantra as before. I prostrate to the king of the fire deity along with his retinue, who is the son of the lord of the world, Brahma, empowered by the Dakinis, and who grants all accomplishments. Request forgiveness. Dissolve the mudra of the fire deity again, and think that the wisdom being has departed by saying: OM AGNAYE GACCHA. Finally, dedicate the merit and wish for auspiciousness. Third, the preparation of the disciple: Then, the lama says this: 'It is very good to enter the Dharma of the Great Vehicle here.' It is rare to be born in Jambudvipa, and it is precious to obtain a human body with leisure and endowment. If you do not strive for a way to escape from the river of suffering of samsara with this basis, then you must strive because you do not know when this impermanent life, which is like a waterfall on a steep cliff, will end. Among the two vehicles, the Great Vehicle and the Small Vehicle, you enter the profound path of secret mantra with joy and delight, so please repeat after me: Alas! All the Buddhas of the three times, Samantabhadra, may the Buddhas of the five families heed! We follow you, take refuge in the Three Jewels, keep the vows of individual liberation, Bodhisattva, and all vows, in order to enter the city of liberation, please grant me protection.' After reciting this three times, the lama says: 'Alas! Son of a worthy vessel! I will show you the ritual of secret mantra. The wise know that all beings can attain Buddhahood. Samantabhadra (普贤王如来, kun bzang rgyal ba) and the five families of Buddhas, with this, destroy the armies of demons. Thus, in order for you to attain this fruit, all should follow after it. (The Guru) thus bestows (the vows). Scattering flowers and joining palms in reverence: The Buddhas and Bodhisattvas of the ten directions, the Gurus, Yidams (本尊), and assemblies of Dakinis (空行母), Please listen! Chief of the two-legged, Buddhas of the ten directions, peaceful and detached, the sacred Dharma, The supreme Sangha (僧团), the noble assembly, I respectfully take refuge and seek refuge. Recite this three times. To the mandala of the five families of Samantabhadra (普贤), until attaining unsurpassed Bodhi (菩提), I respectfully take refuge and seek refuge. Recite this three times. Heroes, heroines, Dharma protectors, Bodhisattvas, and Gurus, I respectfully take refuge and seek refuge. Recite this three times. Before the Guru Samantabhadra (普贤), with body, speech, and mind, Turning away harm to others, accomplishing deeds of happiness. Until attaining the fruit of Bodhi (菩提), towards all sentient beings of the six realms, Generating the thought of mother and child, Liberating those who are not liberated, freeing those who are not freed, For the sake of their liberation, I generate the aspiring Bodhicitta (菩提心). Recite this three times. All the Buddhas of the past, all abide within the vows, Until Samsara (轮回) is empty, the unsurpassed entering Bodhicitta (菩提心), We shall generate it. Studying and practicing the six Paramitas (波罗蜜), liberating all beings with diligence. Holding the three disciplines of benefiting others. Since I have generated Bodhicitta (菩提心) and taken the vows, I shall liberate those who are not liberated, free those who are not freed, Liberating them and placing them in the state of Nirvana (涅槃). Recite this three times. The Three Jewels (三宝) will never be abandoned! The Samaya (誓言) of the Vajra (金刚) family: The Mudra (手印) of the Vajra (金刚) bell and Dorje (杵), the mind of Bodhi (菩提) will never be abandoned. This is the Samaya (誓言) of the Vajra (金刚) family.
