'Noble son!' 'Having obtained the empowerment of the empty-clear Dharmakaya,' 'What is there to purify with it?' 'Purify the clinging and obscurations of body, speech, and mind,' 'The abilities of all three reach their limit.' 'Without relying on happiness and suffering, free from acceptance and rejection,' 'Grant to meditate inseparably afterwards.' 'The eleven grounds are all luminous,' 'The four activities become manifest,' 'The fruit of the five kayas is spontaneously accomplished.' Thus say, and perform the joy of the gathering. Regarding 'laughter,' it is divided into 'generating subsequent joy,' 'arousing delight,' and 'praise.' First is the preliminary empowerment for 'trekchö' (Tibetan: ཁྲེགས་ཆོད་, Sanskrit Devanagari: उत्क्षेपक्रम, Sanskrit Romanization: utkṣepakrama, Literal meaning: Cutting Through). Draw an eight-petaled lotus light circle and a vajra circle, a fire circle. Place on it a skull cup filled with nectar. Surround it with outer and inner offerings. In the center of the skull cup, visualize on a lotus stem, Orgyen (Tibetan: ཨོ་རྒྱན, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओड्रयान, Sanskrit Romanization: oḍrayāna, Literal meaning: Uḍḍiyāna) father and mother inseparable from the root guru, in Sambhogakaya form. Wearing a silk robe and a deer-skin hat, holding a skull cup filled with nectar and a curved knife, the white and yellow faces are in union. In front is Vajra Dakini, on the right is Ratna Dakini, behind is Padma Dakini, on the left is Karma Dakini. Above are Dharmakaya Samantabhadra (Tibetan: ཀུན་བཟང་, Sanskrit Devanagari: समन्तभद्र, Sanskrit Romanization: samantabhadra, Literal meaning: All-Good) father and mother, and the lineage gurus, and the peaceful and wrathful mandala. Around the edges of these mandalas, generate heroes, heroines, and oath-bound protectors, and dissolve them into the wisdom beings. Make offerings and praises, and then follow with supplication and fulfillment. Generate bodhicitta with 'I and limitless sentient beings,' and then pray: 'Kye Kye! May the lamas ripen me!' 'Grant the empowerment and all the teachings of the power of awareness! Grant me liberation! Grant the supreme and common siddhis!' Say this three times. Second is the main part, divided into 'general empowerment of all combined' and 'individual empowerment of the eight names.' First, allow the lamas to come and dissolve into oneself. Then recite: 'Om Guru Kunsang Yabyum, Five Families Yabyum, Vajradhara, Vajrasattva, Garab Dorje (Tibetan: དགའ་རབ་རྡོ་རྗེ, Sanskrit Devanagari: प्रहर्षवज्र, Sanskrit Romanization: praharṣavajra, Literal meaning: Joyful Vajra), Shri Singha (Tibetan: ཤྲཱི་སིང་ཧ, Sanskrit Devanagari: श्री सिंघ, Sanskrit Romanization: śrī siṃha, Literal meaning: Glorious Lion), Eight Names of Padmasambhava, Yeshe Tsogyal (Tibetan: ཡེ་ཤེས་མཚོ་རྒྱལ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ज्ञानसागरविजय, Sanskrit Romanization: jñānasāgaravijaya, Literal meaning: Wisdom Ocean Victory), Padma Karma Rtsal, Samaya Jah!' Have the disciples stand, join their palms at the crown of their heads, and hold their breath. The lama says: 'Oh, you, listen without distraction! Visualize your body as an ordinary person, extremely beautiful and youthful, like a sixteen-year-old girl. In the heart, visualize a white Om (Tibetan: ཨཱོྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: ओं, Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ, Literal meaning: Om) syllable on a moon disc, and focus on samsara. Also, from Akanishta and the ten directions, countless Buddhas and Bodhisattvas come like a dense cloud and dissolve into your heart.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
