It is the wisdom of the sphere of reality. From the power of awareness, five families also arise: all Buddhas attain Buddhahood by realizing awareness, hence the Tathāgata family. Having realized that awareness, it does not change or revert, hence the Vajra family. All qualities arise from awareness itself, hence the Ratna family. Awareness is not tainted by faults, hence the Padma family. If awareness is not realized, Buddhahood cannot be attained, hence the Karma family. From the power of awareness, five lights also arise: awareness has no impurities, hence it appears as white light; qualities are complete, hence yellow; complete without seeking, hence red; actions are complete, hence green; unchanging and pervasive, hence it appears as blue. From the power of awareness, five wisdoms arise: awareness knows all phenomena of samsara and nirvana, hence discriminating wisdom; it does not deviate from awareness, hence gathering wisdom; the power of awareness itself manifests in various ways, hence investigating wisdom; awareness cuts off the life of samsara and goes to the state of nirvana, hence liberating wisdom; everything is contained in awareness, hence self-arising wisdom. Furthermore, from the power of awareness, five winds also arise: from awareness arises the heat of wisdom, hence the wind that is like fire; that awareness holds the life of samsara and nirvana, hence the life wind; that awareness distinguishes between samsara and nirvana, hence the distinguishing wind; that awareness pervades all of samsara and nirvana, hence the pervasive wind; that awareness cuts off the life of samsara and ignorance and transports it to the state of nirvana, hence the wind of merciless kalpa. Thus, all phenomena of appearance and existence, samsara and nirvana, are one's own awareness. Awareness is clear and empty, without grasping, and is the vast expanse of liberation. Thus it was introduced. Then comes the empowerment of samaya: placing nectar on the tongue and holding a vajra on the crown of the head, saying: 'Listen, sons of the lineage! From the common refuge onwards, the precepts of individual liberation, the bodhisattva vows, and the samayas of vidyadharas, until enlightenment is attained, do not abandon them even for the sake of life! If the samaya is broken, for kalpas, there is no possibility of liberation from the three lower realms! Therefore, protect it, son of the lineage!' Oh, you have received the empowerment of secret mantra, so you must abide in faith and samaya. Even if a hundred thousand samayas are explained, in 'Vast Expanse of Clarity' it says: 'In the samaya of body, speech, and mind, all samayas are included.' Therefore, the samaya of body is the vajra master, the Buddha, and the Bodhisattva. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Towards the Yidam (藏:ཡི་དམ་,梵:iṣṭadevatā,梵罗马:ishtadevata,English literal meaning: cherished deity), Ḍākinīs (藏:མཁའ་འགྲོ་,梵:ḍākinī,梵罗马:dakini,English literal meaning: sky goer) sisters, Vajra brothers and sisters, all sentient beings, the five elements, and everything else, and towards disrespecting one's own body, killing, stealing, robbing, beating, abusing, evil speech, etc., and towards reversing pure perception and engaging in all sinful and unwholesome actions, do not do them. Because everything, external environment, internal beings, and one's own body, are all manifestations of the Yidam, therefore, towards everything that is of the nature of the body, one should practice pure perception without bias, such as prostrations, offerings, and praises. Regarding the vow of speech, do not deviate from what the Vajra Master says, and do not despise any teachings from the Buddha to ordinary people. Towards all arising and moving sounds, do not generate hatred and anger, but with pure perception and reverence, regard them as the melodious sounds of all Buddhas. Regarding the vow of mind, abandon unwholesome thoughts even for a moment, and constantly generate the Bodhicitta (the mind of enlightenment) to benefit all sentient beings. Regarding the vow of body, meditate on the generation stage of the Yidam; regarding the vow of speech, do not be separated from recitation; regarding the vow of mind, do not deviate from the wheel of the completion stage. By guarding the vow of body in this way, temporarily one can have a healthy body, benefit sentient beings, be pleasing to see, and all that is seen and touched will lead to virtue. Ultimately, the body can attain the Vajra state, and wherever one resides, one can benefit others, manifest countless emanations, and accomplish the great Buddha activities of benefiting sentient beings with a body adorned with marks and signs. If one violates the vow of body, temporarily one will have a short life and be prone to illness, and all unpleasant things will occur, and all that is seen and touched will lead to rebirth in the lower realms. Ultimately, one will fall into the Vajra Hell, with no time to escape the suffering of the body. If one guards the vow of speech, temporarily one's speech will be pleasant and trusted by all, and one will be obeyed by gods, demons, and humans. One will understand all Tantras, Agamas, and Upadeshas, and various Dharma words will arise spontaneously, and one will be able to compose poems and treatises. All who hear one's speech will have their harm pacified, and all wishes will be fulfilled, and one can attain liberation in one lifetime. Ultimately, one can benefit sentient beings with the emanation of speech and turn the stainless wheel of Dharma. If one violates the vow of speech, temporarily one will face the fear of stuttering, one's speech will be disliked, and one will harm oneself and others through the faults of speech. All who hear one's speech will feel inauspicious and disgusted. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
