Having placed all things equally in freedom from elaboration, cultivate the essence of awareness in the nature of A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A). Therefore, all concepts and everything are like the sky. At this time, the lion of mind is the name of conceptuality, and the son of mind is the collection of objects into A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A), so do not be distracted in one place. This is to purify the sky. The second is: at the crown of the head or in the sky in front, just above the tip of the nose, focus on the dark blue Hūṃ (Tibetan: ྸ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हੂੰ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ), entrust awareness to it, and dissolve all movements of wind and concepts into it, and meditate on non-conceptuality. The daughter of the sky is accompanied by the formation of wind, and the son of the sky is the part of the method, the very Hūṃ (Tibetan: ྸ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हੂੰ, Romanized Sanskrit: hūṃ, Literal meaning: Hūṃ) that is meditated upon in the object, so it is held. Therefore, it completely purifies the wind element. The third is: again, focus the mind on the white at the tip of the nose or in the heart, and send all thoughts and winds back to their own place, stopping the breath from going in and out, and staying there. The lasso of wind refers to holding onto the object of thought, and meditating on the triple-stacked A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A) is like an iron hook, so it completely purifies water. The fourth is: again, focus awareness on the red in the sky of the throat. The object that holds it is feelings, etc., and the essence of the collecting, the self-purification of eye consciousness, is held in the mind, which is called the great man of fire. Feeling is fire, and the bright wood of fire is the wind collected there, so meditate on the quadruple-stacked A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A), holding the feeling in one's own continuum, which is the purification of fire. The fifth is: focus awareness on the yellow letter in the navel or intermediate space, and all the objects of grasping dissolve into it, and the five gates are held in one's own continuum, and after purification, abide in non-conceptuality and meditate. The city of earth is the body with the five gates, and water is the meditation on the fivefold stacked A (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A), so it destroys the grasping of the body. This is what is said in the scriptures in coded language. It is to completely purify the earth. By meditating on the five A's (Tibetan: ཨ, Sanskrit Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: A) shown here, the elements transform into self-purity. Due to the reason of the chakra and the essence of sound, one should meditate on the four chakras, and collect the wind and mind there and meditate. And it is evident that they should be placed in the unborn, free from elaboration. At this time, Raṃ (Tibetan: རྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: रं, Romanized Sanskrit: raṃ, Literal meaning: Seed syllable of fire), Yaṃ (Tibetan: ཡྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: यं, Romanized Sanskrit: yaṃ, Literal meaning: Seed syllable of wind), Khaṃ (Tibetan: ཁྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: खं, Romanized Sanskrit: khaṃ, Literal meaning: Seed syllable of space) these three are the seed syllables of wind, fire, and water, so when meditating in this way, if the elements are disturbed and uncomfortable, then abiding in the three places means that if the body feels heavy, dull, and drowsy, then visualize the dark blue Yaṃ (Tibetan: ཡྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: यं, Romanized Sanskrit: yaṃ, Literal meaning: Seed syllable of wind) in the chakra at the crown of the head, put the wind and concepts there, and visualize it floating in the sky, then it will disappear immediately. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- ཐག་ཏུ་ 55-34-10a
