In order to plant the seed of the incarnate body, it is said that it is very important to practice this beforehand. If strong faith and compassion do not arise, one is not suitable to be a vessel for secret mantras, therefore one should be made to practice this. This is the order of the seven-part teaching on training the mind of Bodhicitta, which is the second part. This is the section on the order of the teachings on training the wind, which is the third part. Having tamed the mind in this way, one should enter the path of skillful means of mantra. The generation stage is for the purpose of maturing the continuum and the temporary fruit. Here, two practices are taught: the practice of wind without attachment and the practice of bindu with attachment. First, one should know the explanation of the channels and winds, which is extensively explained in the summary of the channels and wheels. Here, this text and the oral instructions on wind are condensed and shown as a branch of accomplishment. First, in order to purify the four wheels: the navel wheel of creation, the heart wheel of memory, the throat wheel of taste, and the crown wheel of manifestation, the body should be relaxed and stable, and after bathing and massaging, etc., sit comfortably on a cushion in a secluded place, in the vajra posture. Form the mudra of equipoise with the hands. Keep the waist straight and the throat slightly bent. Then there are five objects of focus: training in the color, shape, number, movement, and vase-like retention of the wind. First, exhale through the mouth, then focus all the breath at the eyebrow center, visualizing a white, round bindu, the size of a white mustard seed, and meditate on it for a long time. Then visualize your head as being the same color as it. Then the whole body. Then the immediate surroundings. Then visualize the entire three thousand worlds as being a shimmering white, and repeatedly familiarize yourself with it. The signs of familiarity are a light body, clear speech, and a stable mind. Second, the shape: then visualize a white, slightly bluish wind bindu, the size of a pea, from the eyebrow center to the tip of the nose, and keep the eyes focused in that direction. Exhale slowly and deeply, visualizing the bindu going out smoothly, and the body and mind becoming empty and hollow. As it comes back, synchronize it with the inhalation, visualizing the bindu coming to the eyebrow center, feeling cool and refreshing. If you feel cold or the body is cold and shivering, visualize the bindu as being hot and fiery. This will seize the mind, and wherever the focus is placed, it will appear as such, which is the sign of proficiency. Even then, various thoughts will arise. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If not yet understood, the third is learning to count: Keep the body in the previous posture, and practice combining awareness with the movement of breath. When the breath goes out, focus on awareness and meditate at the same time. When the breath comes in, do the same. In this way, count one exhale and one inhale as one, from one to two, and so on. Although there are twenty-one thousand six hundred breaths in a day, it is important to divide the time into sections and keep awareness undistracted for about one thousand eight hundred breaths. After that, when thoughts calm down, gradually and slowly lengthen the exhalation and inhalation, and finally be able to maintain and stay for a long time, which means success. Then, the fourth is learning to go in and out: Visualize at your navel a skull that is white on the outside and red on the inside, bright and clear. Inside the skull, visualize a blue breath vajra, the size of a pea. When the breath goes out, visualize the breath extending far away from the nostrils. When the breath comes in, visualize the breath entering the skull with a blue glow, and focus on the comfort of the body. After that, when thoughts calm down, gradually shorten the distance of the breath going in and out, and finally stay at the tip of the nose about sixteen fingers wide. It is important to combine the breath with the inner going in and out, and to lengthen the exhalation and inhalation. Then, the fifth is learning the vase breath: First, practice the breath many times as before. Visualize the vajra dissolving into the skull, all melting, and turning into a self-born Tibetan letter “ཧཱུྃ” (HUM, seed syllable) at the navel. Then, fill the abdomen with breath, and tightly contract the lower part. Visualize the breath and body as if they were clouds. When the breath goes out, visualize the breath and mind merging with the sky, becoming empty and clear, and combine this with non-conceptual meditation. The signs of success are not feeling the existence of the body, the breath being able to reach wherever it is guided, not thinking about food and clothing, and the flow of thoughts naturally stopping. These are the methods of learning breath yoga. Although its branches are numerous, the work has been completed. The above is the third part on the order of breath practice. The fourth part is the order of Bindu practice: Having mastered the breath, learning Bindu is divided into two types: Learning the pleasure of attachment with a male and female consort has been explained in the fifteen vows, and has been clearly explained from the oral instructions, so it will not be repeated here. Learning the pleasure of non-attachment with breath and mind, that is, meditating alone: The body posture is the same as before, and the object of focus is: Visualize your body as empty and clear, and at the crown of the head, at the apex of the Brahma aperture, visualize an empty Bindu. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
