Cut off the after-thoughts and the cycle of existence, remember this in your heart; this is the time to purify perception and be diligent. Abandon wrong views, visualize the Guru as Father and Mother; do not entertain the long-winded thought of not dying, and waste your life in vain. Engaged in meaningless worldly affairs, busily doing and doing; if you return empty-handed now, wouldn't you betray your aspirations? Recognizing that what is necessary is the sacred Dharma, even if you abandon worldly affairs; shouldn't you practice the divine Dharma right now? The compassionate Guru said these words: If you do not keep the Guru's instructions in your heart; wouldn't you be deceiving yourself? Emaho, when I, under the control of ignorance and delusion, wander in samsara; may I hold the lineage of emptiness, compassion, and great compassion. May the kind root Guru lead me to the right path; may the supreme Mother Dakini assembly protect me from behind. I pray to be liberated from the terrifying straits of the bardo; and led to the state of perfect and complete Buddhahood. Emaho, I wander under the control of delusion; realizing the meaning of the clarity of Dharmadhatu wisdom. May the Bhagavan Vairochana lead me to the right path; may the supreme Mother Buddha Dakini protect me from behind. I pray to be liberated from the terrifying straits of the bardo; and led to the state of perfect and complete Buddhahood. Emaho, I wander under the control of hatred; may I realize the meaning of the clarity of mirror-like wisdom. May the Bhagavan Vajrasattva lead me to the right path; may the supreme Vajra Dakini protect me from behind. I pray to be liberated from the terrifying straits of the bardo; and led to the state of perfect and complete Buddhahood. Emaho, I wander under the control of pride; may I realize the meaning of the clarity of equanimity wisdom. May the Bhagavan Ratnasambhava lead me to the right path; may the supreme Ratna Dakini protect me from behind. I pray to be liberated from the terrifying straits of the bardo; and led to the state of perfect and complete Buddhahood. Emaho, I wander under the control of desire; may I realize the meaning of the clarity of discriminating wisdom. May the Bhagavan Amitabha lead me to the right path; may the supreme Padma Dakini protect me from behind. I pray to be liberated from the terrifying straits of the bardo; and led to the state of perfect and complete Buddhahood. Emaho, I wander under the control of jealousy; may I realize the meaning of the clarity of all-accomplishing wisdom. May the Bhagavan Amoghasiddhi lead me to the right path; may the supreme Karma Dakini protect me from behind. I pray to be liberated from the terrifying straits of the bardo; and led to the state of perfect and complete Buddhahood. Emaho, I am under the control of bad habits; may I realize the meaning of abandoning fear and terror. May the Bhagavan peaceful and wrathful deities lead me to the right path; may the supreme assembly of heroines protect me from behind. I pray to be liberated from the terrifying straits of the bardo; and led to the state of perfect and complete Buddhahood. Emaho, may the elements of space not rise as enemies to me; may I see the pure land of the blue Buddha. Emaho, may the element of water not rise as enemies to me; may I see the pure land of the white Buddha. Emaho, may the element of earth not rise as enemies to me; may I see the pure land of the yellow Buddha. Emaho, may the element of fire not rise as enemies to me; may I see the pure land of the red Buddha. Emaho, may the element of wind not rise as enemies to me; may I see the pure land of the green Buddha. Emaho, may the element of rainbow not rise as enemies to me; may I see the pure land of the various colored Buddhas. All sounds are self-arisen sounds; all forms are self-arisen forms. All lights are self-arisen lights; all rays are self-arisen rays. All appearances are unreal; may I be blessed to directly see the nature of reality. Instructions on Meditating on Impermanence of Death From the Mother Tantra Great Perfection, the Secret Path of the Dakinis: Instructions on Meditating on the Impermanence of Death. Namo Guru Deva Dakini! A lama with samaya, to a student with the capacity, from the Mother Tantra, the Secret Path, this is how the instructions on the impermanence of death are given: Place a symbolic representation of impermanence in front, and verbally recite the following: May all sentient beings have happiness and be free from suffering. For that purpose, one must meditate on the impermanence of death. Because on this earth, those who were born before have died, and those who are now on this earth will certainly die. What is built will eventually collapse; what is accumulated will eventually be exhausted; what is accompanied will eventually be separated; what is born will certainly die. For example, all external phenomena are impermanent. Whatever the eye sees, whatever the ear hears, the earth, Mount Meru, plants and forests, rocks, water, and so on, all these phenomena are merely appearances and are not permanent. The internal clinging to breath and body is also impermanent. This body is like a rainbow in the sky, appearing impermanent and vanishing; like a summer flower, impermanent; like the shadow after sunset, impermanent; like dew on the grass, impermanent; like a donkey rolling around, impermanent; like resting on a bed, impermanent; like winter ice, impermanent; like dust on a fingernail, impermanent. For example, one's own parents are old, relatives and friends, companions and neighbors are also impermanent. Because the body has no permanence, one does not know when one will die; because life cannot be extended, one does not know when one will die; because breath cannot be held, one does not know when one will die. One dies simply because the pulse stops like the sound of a drum; one dies simply because of a wound the size of the eye of a needle; one dies simply because of a disease the size of a mustard seed. One year passes, one gets closer to death; one month passes; one day passes; one meal passes, one gets closer to death. Some die in the mother's womb; some die shortly after birth; some die young; some die in their prime; some die old and decrepit. So at that time, the holy... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
