Or, to rejoice in what has been done; stealing the property of stupas, or the property of the Sangha, or the property of the Sangha of the ten directions; personally stealing, or instructing others to steal, or rejoicing in the act of stealing; committing the five inexpiable sins; personally committing, or instructing others to commit, or rejoicing in the act committed; embarking on the path of creating the ten non-virtuous actions; personally embarking, or instructing others to embark, or rejoicing in embarking on this path; due to which karmic obscurations will I, a sentient being, go to hell, or go to the animal realm, or go to the realm of the pretas, or be born in a borderland, or be born in a barbarian land, or be born among the long-lived gods, or become disabled, or hold wrong views, or not rejoice in the appearance of a Buddha? All these karmic obscurations, before the Buddha, the Bhagavan (Bhagavan, Blessed One) who has become wisdom, who has become the eye, who has become the witness, who has become the measure, who sees with knowledge, I confess and repent, I do not hide, I do not conceal, and I promise to cut off and protect myself from them in the future. I or others, or the three actions of the body in past lives, the four actions of speech, and the three actions of mind, for these ten non-virtuous actions, I confess each one. From beginningless time until now, the ten non-virtuous actions and the five inexpiable sins, all the sins committed by the mind controlled by afflictions, I confess. The sins of myself and all sentient beings, all bad actions, I confess and repent. May I never commit them again in the future, may karmic obscurations be completely exhausted forever. Due to the control of desire, hatred, and ignorance, all the sins committed by body, speech, and mind, I confess each one. The sins of the five inexpiable sins, the sins committed due to ignorance, by reciting this confession, may all these sins be completely purified. Now continue to do good deeds, in order to enter the mandala and receive empowerment, imitate the offering of the mandala (Maṇḍala, circle) and reciting the accompanying verses. From emptiness, the deceased, the Blessed One Shakyamuni, golden in color, earth-touching mudra, in meditative equipoise. The three syllables Hum at the three places, from Akanishta the Tathagata, thirty-five deities descend like rain, inseparable and one with you.
