Dilute urine and foam with water to the consistency of thin tea soup. Then, like preparing tea, scoop it up twice, remove the foam, and administer the clear liquid. Feed about three portions of 'Ra-shor' (a Tibetan medicine). If effective, the condition will improve. Even if it's not effective, the illness will be alleviated. This is based on experience. If you are concerned about miscarriage or calf loss in livestock, reduce the amount of musk, or give each animal one insect shell, which will help. If 'Nil-bzhi' (a disease) affects the limbs, apply a mixture of salt and unrefined butter. If ulcers appear in the mouth and on the tongue, applying musk, bear bile, and elm bark powder will lead to immediate healing. For swelling, measure one hand-span upwards from the spine, then two finger-widths down. At that point, insert a one hand-span high 'Kyer-phur' (a plant) wooden peg, after applying potent mantra water, to release stagnant blood. For 'Gor' (a disease) ointment, fresh 'Shawa' (an animal) blood is best. If fresh blood is not available, use dried blood that is not rotten or stale, mixed with ear blood, and prepare it like 'Glo-tsi' (an ointment). Alternatively, burn all the meat, bones, and feathers of insects to ashes and mix with medicine, which is also said to be effective. For excessive eye discharge due to 'Bag-glo' (a disease), apply 'Shawa' fat. For throat swelling, administer 'Sur-pan' (a medicine). For diarrhea during long journeys, if the tongue is red, giving a mixture of 'Ba-la' (a medicine) and hot butter will help. If livestock accidentally eat 'Tag-chung' (a plant) flowers that are about to bloom, give a mixture of salt and butter, or administer urine, to alleviate the condition. If intestinal obstruction occurs, the first person who sees it should squeeze the fresh lungs without telling anyone else, releasing the blood, which will help. If 'Ga-chu' (a liquid) is spilled, administer musk water. For the disease called 'Tsher-bye', where the 'Tsher-pa' (an organ) swells, making it difficult to squat and walk, pour a small amount of butter behind the 'Tsher-pa', which will help. To prevent horses, cattle, sheep, and goats from being harmed by waterborne diseases, mix the local water poison with high-quality barley beer, add 'Brag-zhun' (stone marrow) powder, and administer it. This will definitely ensure recovery. Since the grass in the meadow is poisonous, immediately mix the poisonous grass with beer residue and feed it to the livestock, which will completely cure them. For illnesses caused by meadow poison, cutting the large neck vein or the upper palate will help. To prevent calves and sheep from suddenly coughing loudly, which is called 'Blo-rgod', give each of them about half a bowl of high-quality barley beer. This also applies to calves. It is important not to mix the sheep with other sheep immediately after feeding them beer. There are three profound treatments for livestock diseases: 'Sbre-dug' (sexual poison), 'Tsa-dug' (grass poison), and 'Srin-dug' (insect poison).
