Or, in this way: If it doesn't succeed, first perform the generation and recitation of the peaceful Guru deity, and then transform it into Guru Yoga, proceeding in a harmonious manner. Visualize Padmasambhava in union with his consort, in the heart center of a red lotus, in the middle of the union of the sun and moon, there is a red HRIH (藏文:ཧྲི་,梵文天城体:ह्रीः,梵文罗马拟音:hrīḥ,汉语字面意思:seed syllable), surrounded by a mantra garland, from which red light emanates, forming the shape of an iron hook, controlling samsara and nirvana through gathering and dispersing. Recite: OM NIPADMA DAKINI HRIH PADMA KINGKARA SARVA LOKA PASHAM KURU HUM (藏文:ཨོཾ་ནི་པདྨ་དྷཱ་ཀི་ནཱི་ཧྲི་པདྨ་གིངྐ་ར་སརྦ་ལོ་ཀ་པཱ་ཤཾ་ཀུ་རུ་ཧོ༔). Recite as much as possible. Then, through recitation and gathering and dispersing, it is sufficient to visualize oneself and the offerings as the deity. This substance is given to disciples during empowerment, and when burned during practice, such as during invocation, it brings down the great blessing of wisdom, possessing profound uniqueness and rarity. There are three types of offerings: outer, inner, and secret. First, the outer offerings. There are three types of offerings: outer, inner, and secret. First, the outer offerings, the actual arrangement includes water, double offerings, and enjoyments. Some say they are mentally emanated offerings, symbols, the seven royal possessions, etc., but here it refers to the former. According to the different objects of offering, they are divided into peaceful and wrathful. Peaceful deities need to be done according to the lower tantra rituals and in a common way. The offering water is: the welcoming water placed in front, should have the characteristics of being clear, cool, sweet, and soft, clean water without living beings, poured from a jewel-made bird-beak pot, and placed in jewel vessels. In peaceful activities, use barley, milk, white flowers, kusha grass, white sesame, rice, and nectar, known as the seven white fragrant waters. In increasing activities, mix sesame, kusha grass, yellow flowers, and yellow fragrant water. Gongdu (藏文:དགོངས་འདུས།) says that the color can be changed according to the four activities of pacifying, increasing, magnetizing, and subjugating. Foot washing water is: clean water for washing hands and feet, without mud and living beings, mixed with the powder of five tree barks. In Tibet, the five tree barks said to have milk and nectar components are: Balu (藏文:བ་ལུ།), Ombhu (藏文:འོམ་བུ།), White Willow (藏文:ལྕང་དཀར།), Pine or White Sandalwood (藏文:ཤུག་པའམ་ཙནྡན་དཀར་པོ།), Peach (藏文:ཁམ་བུ་). Flowers should be those that grow on land and in water, without toxic components, and with rich colors and fragrances. You can also use gold, silver, and other jewels and various silks to make trees, making them have all parts such as trunks, leaves, flowers, and fruits, or use paper and paint to make them, making their shapes beautiful and their colors bright. These are all recorded in ancient treasures and great treatises. Although the new tradition only arranges grains, it is still acceptable as a support for visualization. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

If one diligently practices with a pure intention, the merit will be equivalent to (offering) that many (items). Regarding incense, there are natural sandalwood and agarwood, etc., which have pleasant fragrances. In Tibet, there are also fragrant trees such as fir, black pine, and white thorn. Although the blended incense made by major monasteries is exquisite, it is difficult for ordinary people to achieve, and it is not described in detail due to the complexity of the text. Chokgyur Lingpa, a great treasure revealer, praised a special blended incense used to invoke Guru Rinpoche, the recipe of which is as follows: Mix equal parts of Nagi Dugu's detoxifying herb and Kashmiri saffron; take half of that mixture and mix it with equal parts of Guggul, Musk, and Ruta; then take half of that mixture and mix it with equal parts of White Sandalwood, Nutmeg, and Black Agarwood or pure Agarwood; finally, take half of that mixture and mix it with White Cardamom and fragrant Tongku. Grind them carefully, soak them for a long time, and then roll them into pills, incense sticks, or cones. When burned during empowerments, it is said to produce an extremely rich fragrance. The four types of blended incense mentioned in 'Lama Gongdu' (Collection of the Guru's Intentions) are: the wood-salt-water formula, the white cardamom-ash formula, the lychee-stone formula, and the grass cardamom-salt formula. Based on having the corresponding proportions, adding honey and brown sugar syrup, as well as cardamom powder, will immediately create a high-quality incense that is fragrant and meets the needs. There is also a recipe known as 'Sealed Incense': one unit of Klumo, one unit of Indian herb for leprosy eradication (Majejom Gyagar Ma), one unit of white cardamom, one unit of demon-repelling herb (Dre Jigs), one unit of Kusuma, one unit of Magita, and one unit of white sandalwood. These ingredients are not made into incense sticks but are thoroughly crushed and made into incense coils. It is said that the Kalachakra tradition's recipe is: Musk, Camphor, Sihla, Sandalwood, and Black Agarwood. The Kashmiri Pandit tradition's recipe is: Nagi, Sandalwood, Agarwood, Sugar, and Musk mixed in five parts. The herbal incense recipe is: Musk, Stone Flower, Tongku, and Balu. Among these recipes, in the Lower Tantras and Naga rituals or related ceremonies, musk and black guggul should not be mixed. Therefore, although the incense sticks made by great masters are fragrant, they also need to be adjusted according to the situation. When inviting Dharmapalas and making supplications, the blended incense recipe should not be mixed arbitrarily. When offering to deities such as Gonpo, Grisha is mainly used; when offering to goddesses, Nalbu'i Sha is mainly used; when offering to Namse and other deities, white cardamom is mainly used; when offering to Damchen, Ra Sur is mainly used. In addition, avoid using grass cardamom when offering to planets, etc. There are many details regarding what to accept and reject. If conditions permit, one should operate according to the descriptions in their respective scriptures; if conditions do not permit, one can burn ordinary incense sticks or fragrant wood incense such as Sihla. For lamps, one can use butter extracted from livestock or oil extracted from grains. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
