Derived from the word 'yoga,' it mainly explains through internal yoga practice, hence it is called Yoga Tantra. As stated in 'Collected Meaning of Appearance': 'This tantra mainly explains samadhi, therefore it is Yoga Tantra.' Its essence is: to regard the blessing of the ultimate, signless Dharma-nature as the conventional deity, and to achieve the fruit through the effort of adopting good and abandoning bad realizations. As stated in 'Buddha's Secret Path Sequence': 'Not seeing the spontaneously accomplished equality, all dharmas are pure wisdom, blessing Vajradhatu manifestation, adopting and abandoning actions is yoga.' So, how to practice it? 'Wisdom Bindu' says: 'The irreversible vase initiation is clearly shown in the Yoga Tantra, this is the sixth distinction initiation, this is the guru initiation.' By bestowing water crown, vajra bell, name initiation, asceticism, vajra guru initiation, subsequent permission, etc., to make it a suitable vessel. Then, the practice is expanded through self-generation, the four mudra mandala, and at the end of the practice, the mudras are released and the deity is invited to return to its original position. In addition, it is necessary to practice the deity yoga with four mudras through the five abisambodhis and four miracles, and in special yoga, the conduct tantra and the uncommon samaya-jnana are integrated to obtain accomplishment. As stated in 'Vajra Arising': 'In the non-dual Dharma-nature, obtain the supreme and excellent accomplishment.' With such efforts, a person with a lifespan of one hundred years, at most after three rebirths, and at least within sixteen years, the sharpest faculties can achieve the mahamudra siddhi, and twice that time can attain the tenth bhumi. In addition, if we look at the classification of Yoga Tantras, the root tantra is the 'Guhyasamaja,' the explanatory tantras are the 'Tilaka' and 'Chakrasamvara,' and the similar tantras are the 'Purification of Evil Destinies,' etc. If divided from the perspective of skillful means and wisdom, the father tantras are the 'Guhyasamaja' and 'Tilaka,' etc., and the mother tantras are the 'Chakrasamvara' and 'Vajrahṛdayālaṃkāra,' etc. For example, entering the Vajradhatu mandala and receiving initiation, etc. Or, the similar tantra 'Glorious King Who Completely Purifies All Evil Destinies,' in the Kunrig Vairochana mandala. Or, 'Glorious King Who Purifies Evil Destinies' comes from the one-sided tantra, in the nine-deity mandala, etc. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Furthermore, in the context of Anuttarayoga (Naljor Lamé), when it is mentioned 'here applicable', derived from the term 'Mahāyoga' means 'great yoga', because through understanding the meaning of non-duality, it is far superior to external yogas. Its essence is to realize and familiarize oneself with the meaning of the equality of samsara and nirvana through the combination of generation stage, completion stage, and union (zungjuk), thereby attaining the nature of liberation. This transcends the view of the lower vehicles, which regard everything as existent or nominally existent in conventional truth (kunzop), and cling to the acceptance and rejection of good and bad. Here, practitioners treat phenomena with dualistic thoughts and actions, thereby realizing the essence of the resultant state—the Dharmakaya (chöku) of appearance-emptiness union—and familiarizing themselves with it through corresponding samadhi. As stated by the master Sangye Sangwa: 'In the great vehicle of means, purity and suffering are also inseparable in conventional truth; it is only the view that differs in height.' So, how does one practice this excellence? In 'Essence of Wisdom' (Yeshe Tiklé) it says: 'The name of Anuttarayoga is the king of secret empowerments, the unsurpassed state of wisdom and prajna, and the fourth empowerment is also the same.' Furthermore, the continuation of 'Root Tantra of Illusion' (Gyutrul Tsagyü) says: 'The master is secret and wisdom, and immediately following is the fourth empowerment.' This means that on top of the vase empowerment, adding the three uncommon supreme empowerments makes the disciple a suitable vessel. Through the generation stage, purifying impure appearances into the dharmadhatu (ying), contemplating the wheel of the mandala. Both empowerment and the generation stage should be practiced as paths that conform to the state and form of the resultant state, and purify defilements in a way that conforms to the state of samsara, that is, combining in detail the object to be purified, the means of purification, and the result of purification. During meditation breaks, one should also visualize all appearances as deities and consorts. Through the completion stage, based on the key points of the vajra body, by dissolving mind, intellect, and winds into the central channel, the union of bliss and emptiness that manifests is accomplished. The three forms of action are considered to be the proximate cause related to the resultant state. It is said that if one practices with strong determination and diligence, even in a lifespan of one hundred years, one can attain Buddhahood without relying on other paths. This Anuttarayoga can be divided into the new and old traditions of the Kagyu (Kadam) school. The difference between these two is that the scriptures translated before the translator Rinchen Zangpo arrived are called the old translations, while the scriptures translated after that are called the new translations. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
