Today, we invite and offer to this supreme and special sacred place, urging you to remember your vows and entrusting you with activities! Protector (mgon po), Chakrasamvara ('khor lo bde mchog), Great Powerful Black One (mahākāla), the doctor for the three poisons of disease, the life force of all Vidyadharas, the wrathful deity of all yogis, the great lord of subjugating demons, please remember your vow to completely destroy the Rakshasa city of Lanka. Holding the great eight-sided sandalwood club, from which emanate billions of divine soldiers, repelling the battles of the Asuras, subduing demons, manifesting twenty-one thousand divine soldiers. I beseech the hosts of the Lord Mahākāla, who have dominion over all directions, above and below, to remember your vows, entrust you with activities, and listen to our prayers. For the benefit of beings, please descend after accepting the offerings. I implore you to make all my hopes and wishes bear the fruit of action. Secondly, inviting and requesting to be present: From the Hūṃ (hūṃ) at my heart, rays of light emanate, striking the Protector in front. From the Protector's heart, countless rays of light like iron hooks emanate in the ten directions. Shining upon the self-arisen place in the northeast, and Akanishta ('og min), the great charnel ground, and the Protector residing in the palaces of body, speech, and mind, and the Protector and retinue in the palace lined with spears and swords, remembering the vows of the past, thinking that the time to protect the Buddha's teachings has come. And with the assembly of worldly mother goddesses, from the triple-layered city of the three realms (desire realm, form realm, formless realm), I beseech you to descend in order to destroy birth and death. Please dispel the delusion of clinging to a permanent abode, to dispel the darkness of ignorance, to eliminate perverse views, and to manifest blackness in order to dispel darkness. You possess great power and great authority, accompanied by your retinue and attendants such as the son of non-attachment, the mighty one, and the young Smin-drug (star name) son. In this world, no matter who is wise, whether it be powerful beings such as Brahma, even if they possess power and vows, they cannot be compared to your actions. Following the example of the three protectors (Avalokiteśvara, Mañjuśrī, Vajrapāṇi), with pure lands and actions, for the sake of taming beings, please bestow blessings according to your vow. Great Mahākāla, when you descend as the guardian deity of yoga, it is the sign of empowerment by the Buddhas of the three times (past, present, future), possessing the three characteristics of the body. The sign of empowerment by the three family protectors (Avalokiteśvara, Mañjuśrī, Vajrapāṇi), with three wrathful wrinkles on the forehead. The sign of empowerment by the wrathful deities of the three times, with three fierce expressions on the face. The sign of coronation by the righteous ones, wearing Dharma robes and trousers on the body. The sign of coronation by the great gods, with a burning jewel topknot. The sign of coronation by the great nāgas, with limbs adorned with strings of snakes. The sign of coronation by the great planets, with red and yellow hair burning like fire. The sign of coronation by all the gods, uttering three fierce 'bswo' sounds. The sign of coronation by the constellations, possessing life, year, and mole. The sign of coronation by the asuras, uttering three fierce 'cha' sounds. The sign of coronation by the animals, adorned with complete fulfillment of desires. The sign of coronation by the pretas, possessing a burning jewel necklace. The sign of coronation by the humans, with the body adorned with five jewels. The sign of coronation by the hell beings, with the body adorned with a garland of skulls. The sign of coronation by Agnirāja, with the great fire of the eon burning from the eyes. The sign of coronation by Vināyaka, with the great water of the eon swirling from the mouth. The sign of coronation by Vāyurāja, with the black wind of the eon swirling from the nostrils. The sign of coronation by all the demons, wearing a black cloak on the body. The sign of coronation by the Yamas, holding a sandalwood club in the hand. The sign of coronation by all the māmas, with scattered skull garlands. The sign of coronation by the three realms, with the navel of the body deeply sunken into a triangle.
