'Liberation, destroying sins, in the good realms, know that one is born.' Thus, burning straight upwards, without smoke or other impurities, round and not scattering upwards, slow and bright, with small sounds and so on, the fire deity itself manifesting the form of fire, these are signs that the target is liberated from the lower realms and born in the good realms of gods and so on. As it is said in the fire offering ritual: 'White, clear, round, peaceful fire, is a sign of purifying disease, demons, sins, and obscurations.' Thus, know that it is a sign of good. Furthermore, inauspicious signs are: large smoke and scattering sparks, slow burning and unclear color, weak and intermittent flames, without light and bluish, like the tip of a trident, like a fine sieve with mesh, like the shape of a cow's face, with the foul smell of corpses and so on, odorless, or burning violently, these are signs that the target will be born in the lower realms. Even if good signs are seen, one should strive to accumulate the power of the two accumulations as much as possible, so that even if one is born in the good realms, obstacles will be reduced. Favorable conditions will increase, and the body, beauty, and wealth of this life will become more and more complete, and one will surely embark on the right path, and so on. If bad signs are seen, then one should strive to purify sins with the four powers. Among the four powers, the power of applying remedies is the most important to cultivate at this time. That is, reading profound scriptures such as the Prajnaparamita Sutra, entering into the meaning of selflessness and luminosity, reciting special mantras such as the Vajrasattva mantra according to the ritual, building Buddha images, scriptures, and stupas, making tsatsas, offering to them and the Sangha, reciting and proclaiming the names of the Buddhas, and methods of accumulating merit such as giving alms and ransoming lives, as described in the Sutra and Tantra sections. By practicing in this way, the causes for being born into the great suffering of the lower realms will be transformed into small suffering, and even if one is born in the lower realms, one will not experience its suffering, and those who experience it for a long time will experience it for a short time, or will never have to experience it at all, and so on. The degree of purification of sins also depends on the strength of the remedy. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

In short, Dro wa, it is crucial to diligently practice whatever purification work you undertake with excellent intention and action. This can also be understood by observing amulets, etc., because it follows the words of truth spoken by the Buddhas, so it is certain not to be mistaken. Secondly, applying the cremation ritual to practical operation involves two parts: preparing the materials and the actual ritual. First, if it is a place where fire puja has not been performed before, then any feasible site ritual such as observation, invocation, purification, etc., should be performed. If it has already been tamed, or if a complete ritual cannot be performed, then in the place where the ritual is to be performed, offer a torma to the earth deity and issue commands. With the pride of the deity, place the right hand with the vajra on the ground and recite: Om Vajra Krodha Hana Hana Hum Phat, bless it and purify the attachment to the land. There, build a square fire pit with sides of one cubit (approximately one meter), smear it with lime, and draw Brahma's corners on it. Starting from the center, draw a circle one finger high, and then draw a four-finger-wide edge outside it. Inside, surround it with a string of equal-sized vajras, and draw an eight-petaled lotus, including the center of the lotus. On the outer four corners, draw crescent-shaped vajras, paint them with white pigment powder, and cover them with white cloth painted with eight-petaled lotuses, moistened with water from a vase. Outside the edge of the fire pit, build a square cremation chamber with sides of one cubit (approximately 0.5 meters) using bricks, etc., as appropriate. When the preparations are complete, including road purification and instructions, etc., remove the body from the old cremation chamber, offer a torma to the obstructing spirits, and drive them away with fierce mantras, incense, music, mustard seeds, etc. Recite mantras for purifying obscurations, and sprinkle sand and white mustard seeds on the body. Wash it with water from a bathing vase and wipe it with silk. Anoint the whole body with fragrant perfume. On the four places such as the crown of the head, apply the four mantra sequences led by the letter A (Tibetan: ཨ, Devanagari: अ, Romanized Sanskrit: a, Literal meaning: None) Vajra Bhara He (Tibetan: བཛྲ་བྷ་ར་ཧེ་, Devanagari: वज्र भर हे, Romanized Sanskrit: vajra bhara he, Literal meaning: Diamond Fill He), and other armor mantras and liberation texts, etc., according to the available texts, with honey on each place. Wrap the upper and lower body with silk. Visualize as the deity, and offer some offerings and praises. In the Compendium Sutra, it says: 'The substances of the corpse are burned, purified, and dissolved. After blessing the corpse with mantras, anoint and wash the corpse with very fragrant spices. Wrap the corpse with cloth smeared with essence nectar. In each place of the corpse, arrange the combination of mantras and apply the seals. Whatever mandala of the Victorious Ones is arranged, its seals should be applied wherever they are placed.' --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
