In addition, various practices of yoga with signs, such as Tummo (inner heat yoga), illusory body yoga, etc., should be performed. Beginners should engage in the stages of the actual guidance. May we enter the palace of all-knowing preciousness with ease. The initial four-in-one steps are the form of preliminary practices. Connecting the treasure texts with the Vajra words. The one who serves is also Dharma Lord Glingpa. This is the refuge and bodhicitta for the preliminary practice of the Swift Path Transference (Tibetan: འཕོ་བ, phowa). Refuge and Bodhicitta for the Preliminary Practice of the Swift Path Transference. All the Jewels of the Ten Directions, the Three Roots without exception, manifesting as the Lama, the Lord of the Family, the body of Akshobhya Vajra. Taking refuge with one-pointed devotion until enlightenment. With body, speech, and mind, I respectfully take refuge, for the benefit of myself and others, may I enter the teachings of the Swift Path Transference. Recite three times. Emaho! In the palace of the primordial purity of the Dharmadhatu, Kunsang Thogma'i Gonpo (Samantabhadra), Dorje Chang (Vajradhara). (To them) I pray, may I be reborn in the pure land, may I master the Swift Path Transference. In the channel of the five spontaneously present wisdom lights, Zungjuk Longs-spyod Dzogsku (Sambhogakaya) Dorje Sempa (Vajrasattva). (To them) I pray, may I be reborn in the pure land, may I master the Swift Path Transference. In the vast land of Serling He Chen, Thukje Trulku (Nirmanakaya) Garab Dorje (Tibetan: དགའ་རབ་རྡོ་རྗེ, Joyful Vajra). (To them) I pray, may I master the Swift Path Transference. In the Keutsang of Serak Jakyib Tsal, Yangdak Drubpa Hungchen Kara. (To them) I pray, may I master the Swift Path Transference. In the sacred places of Tibet and China, and the supreme Ngayab Ling, Sangye Kundun (Buddha essence) Pema Jungne (Padmasambhava). (To them) I pray, may I master the Swift Path Transference. In the palace of unbiased compassion for the benefit of beings, Terton (treasure revealer), Chodak (dharma lord), and lineage lamas. (To them) I pray, may I master the Swift Path Transference. My own body as Heruka (Tibetan: ཧེ་རུ་ཀ, wrathful deity) father and mother, with clear and complete marks and signs, in the center of the ungraspable body, Awadhuti (Sanskrit: Avadhūti, central channel), my own mind, a blue Hung (Tibetan: ཧཱུྃ, Sanskrit Devanagari: हुं, Sanskrit Romanization: hūṃ, Destroyer of all). On the crown of my head, the Lama, the emanation of Akshobhya. From the binding of the three key points of body, speech, and mind, may my own mind merge indivisibly into the heart of the Lama. May it, like a shooting star, be transferred to the pure land, to the place of manifest joy. All that is transferred, the method of transferring, and the one who transfers, may all be completely purified, without any clinging. In the vast expanse of Rigpa-emptiness, the Great Perfection, may I realize the Dharmakaya Transference beyond the mind. This is the New Treasure of Yangdak Dechen Nyingpo's (Essence of Great Bliss) death practice, the teaching of the Three Kayas Transference, the preliminary refuge and bodhicitta prayer like a shooting star. For the dedicated practitioners who strive single-pointedly for the profound meaning, Depa Chodze Rinpoche Ngawang Khyen. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Out of respect, written by Dharma Lord Lingpa. ༄། ། dPal bDe chen snying po'i skye med bar do'i gdams pa tsor ba rang grol srid pa bar do'i rnam gzhag cung zad phyes pa bzhugs. (The instructions on the unborn Bardo of the Glorious Great Bliss Essence, Self-Liberation of Awareness, a brief explanation of the categories of the Sridpa Bardo) ༈ dPal bDe chen snying po'i skye med bar do'i gdams pa tsor ba rang grol srid pa bar do'i rnam gzhag cung zad phyes pa bzhugs so. (The instructions on the unborn Bardo of the Glorious Great Bliss Essence, Self-Liberation of Awareness, a brief explanation of the categories of the Sridpa Bardo) Lama and Mahasukha Heruka! Having respectfully prostrated, from the profound instructions on the Self-Liberation of Awareness of the Unborn Bardo, I will clarify here the categories of the Sridpa Bardo. Thus, in the section on extracting the essence at the time of death from the Glorious Great Bliss Essence, the three Bardos are taught: birth, dream, and Sridpa Bardo. In the context of liberation in the Bardo for those of intermediate capacity in Dzogchen, it is said in the Prasangika: 'From the four types of birth.' Therefore, the four are taught: the birth or natural Bardo, the Bardo of dying, the Dharmata Bardo, and the Sridpa Bardo. In the Dzogchen texts, it is said: 'Cutting off attachments in the Bardo of birth is like a garden full of flowers; clarifying in the Bardo of dying is like a young woman looking in a mirror; having faith in the Bardo of Dharmata is like a child running into its mother's lap; continuing the karma in the Sridpa Bardo is like a fox entering a broken ditch.' Thus, here, the Sridpa Bardo is taught in general, or the inner dying, Dharmata, and Sridpa Bardos are explained separately. In the Great Bliss Essence, it is said: 'At the end of the inner and outer stages of dissolution, recognizing the meeting of the mother and child lights, the sharpest faculties attain the Dharmakaya; after the signs of uncertainty in the Bardo are complete, the clear appearance of the deity arises as the Sambhogakaya, the intermediate faculties attain the Sambhogakaya; after going through rebirth and with the remainder of the path, the lowest faculties attain the Nirmanakaya.' Thus, the first, the sharpest faculties attain the Dharmakaya, or clarifying in the Bardo of dying is like a beautiful woman looking in a mirror, in the Great Bliss Essence it is said: 'At the time when the near and far signs of death are complete, the chakras of the five wheels are destroyed, and the Samasthita Vayu (life force) dissipates, the white and red bindus meet, the mind and life force enter the heart, at that time, the clear light of pure awareness, the child, and the clear light of spontaneous presence, the mother, merge like water flowing into the ocean, at that time, if one rests in awareness, then those with the sharpest faculties and the power of habituation attain the Dharmakaya.' Thus, the distant signs of death are months or years before, with various unfavorable circumstances and unclear senses, and awareness fluctuating, etc., external signs, and lifespan --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
