This is about the teachings of Ārya Avalokiteśvara Gyalwa Gyatso. First, to introduce a definitive understanding, we rely on history: The prophecy states: 'Essence of the pure realm, Sukhāvatī! Wondrous and inconceivable wisdom! In the Dharma palace accomplished from self-manifestation, the teacher who reveals perfect enlightenment, Amitābha! Abiding in the nature of the all-pervading, insubstantial dharmakāya. From that very state of non-elaboration, the skill of compassion, the miraculous display of self-arisen wisdom nirmāṇakāya is: outwardly appearing as Padmasambhava, inwardly as Mahākaruṇika Avalokiteśvara, secretly as Hayagrīva Heruka. Though appearing in different forms according to the inclinations of those to be tamed, in essence, there is no difference, the nature is one.' In short, as it is said: 'Is the essence of all sugatas, the great teacher of all profound and vast vehicles, Padmasambhava Vajra Thötreng Tsal.' In the pure realm of Sukhāvatī, in the great palace accomplished from the self-manifestation of wisdom, the vajra nature of the speech of all buddhas of the three times, the teacher who reveals perfect enlightenment, Amitābha. From the nature of his clear light dharmakāya, without moving, the unobstructed miraculous display of the self-nature of compassion. Displaying various forms to tame whomever is to be tamed through the dance of the three kāyas—outer, inner, and secret—he benefits limitless beings. In particular, in this Jambudvīpa, as the representative of the teacher Śākyamuni, he showed the manner of being born from a lotus stem in the Dhanakośa ocean. With the great miracle of displaying infinite wondrous deeds, he became like a second buddha in Tibet and India. Especially in Māratika, relying on the proximate cause of the gathering feast, he caused his disciples to realize the yuganaddha vidyādhara, and his intention is the same as that of a bodhisattva abiding on the eighth ground of the causal vehicle. Again, in Leshö, relying on the samādhi that illuminates the maṇḍala of the wisdom of the nine Yangdak deities, he realized the result of the path of mahāmudrā, and he showed the manner of his intention being the same as that of a tenth-ground bodhisattva of the causal stage. In reality, he abides in one taste with the intention of all sugatas of the three times. When that incomparable great teacher was turning the wheel of the secret mantra gathering teachings for the fortunate retinue of lords and subjects in Brakmar Yamalung, the king who held the country, urged by the secret wisdom ḍākinī in a dream, supplicated the teacher, and so the great teacher. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Having opened the mandala of the 'Gathering of All Sugatas' (Tibetan: བདེ་གཤེགས་ཀུན་འདུས, meaning: The Gathering of All Those Who Have Gone to Bliss), he fully bestowed empowerment and guidance upon the seven lords and subjects and one hundred thousand wisdom dakinis. Afterward, he instructed that the extensive cycles of tantras and instructions be concealed in the Tsuklakhang Temple (Tibetan: གཙུག་ལག་ཁང) of Rasa (Tibetan: ར་ས, meaning: goat) and on the Sinbar (Tibetan: སྲིན་སྦར, meaning: night flyer) Rock with the five common scripts. This unsurpassed and profound instruction, which is the essence of the enlightened intent of all Sugatas, was practiced by the seven lords and subjects for one month, and all of them attained the supreme siddhi of Mahamudra (Tibetan: ཕྱག་རྒྱ་ཆེན་པོ, Sanskrit: Mahāmudrā, Romanized Sanskrit: Mahāmudrā, literal meaning: Great Seal). At that time, the master proclaimed: 'This is the condensation of the enlightened intent of all Sugatas, the most profound among the profound. Even if one searches the three thousand worlds with iron hooves, it would be difficult to find. Therefore, hold this dear and cherish it. However, it is not to be propagated now; conceal it as a treasure for the benefit of the future.' According to the master's instructions, it was recorded without error by the great translator Vairochana (Tibetan: བཻ་རོ་ཙ་ན), and in the place of Shawuk Taksok (Tibetan: ཤ་འུག་སྟག་སྒོ), at the site of the five chakras in the form of the self-arisen Vajravarahi (Tibetan: རྡོ་རྗེ་ཕག་མོ, Sanskrit: Vajravarahi, Romanized Sanskrit: Vajravarahi, literal meaning: Diamond Sow), it was sealed with an indestructible seal and concealed as a treasure. Later, in the Padma Kathang, it was written: 'This treasure concealed at Shawuk Taksok will appear when the signs of its extraction are shown. One named Orgyen Terdak Lingpa (Tibetan: གཏེར་བདག་གླིང་པ, meaning: Treasure Lord Continent) will appear.' Just as prophesied, the reincarnation of the great translator Vairochana, the great emanation treasure revealer difficult to describe, Dro-dul Terdak Lingpa, eight hundred and sixteen years after the great master of Orgyen went to subdue the rakshasas in the southwest, on the twenty-ninth day of the seventh month of the Iron Monkey year, at an auspicious time when the dakinis gathered, in the center of a gathering of hundreds of people from Mon (Tibetan: མོན, meaning: Bhutan) and Tibet, brought forth this treasure, leading countless fortunate disciples onto the path of maturation and liberation. Such profound teachings are divided into the basis of the path—the stages of maturing empowerment—and the actual path—the stages of generation and completion. Here, we are performing the stage of empowerment, which is the appropriate time for practice. Therefore, the preliminary preparations have been completed, and next is the actual ritual, which is divided into the actions of the Vajra Master and the actions of the Vajra disciples. The actions that the master should perform include: constructing the mandala, performing sadhana and offering, entering the mandala and receiving empowerment, all of which are accomplished by the venerable lama. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
