Great Treasure Trove TD913, entitled 'The Elaborate Vase Empowerment Preliminary Recitation of the All-Encompassing Compassionate Great Being: Joy for All Fortunate Ones,' Minling Great Compassion Practice, Vase Empowerment. Oṃ Svasti (藏文:ཨོཾ་སྭསྟི།,Sanskrit Devanagari: ॐ स्वस्ति,Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ svasti, Literal meaning: Om, may there be well-being). I prostrate to the All-Encompassing Compassionate Treasure of the Sugatas, I pay homage to Padma Garwang (པདྨ་གར་དབང་, Padma Garwang, Lotus Empowerment). Within that vast mandala, I write the connecting recitation for the empowerment ritual. Firstly, the preliminary for the disciples' abiding: Except for listening, the mandala and vase preparations are complete, and the arrangements are concealed by a curtain. The disciples are bathed and cleansed as at birth, etc., and seated in order. Perform the obstacle-dispelling torma and cleansing. Purify with Svabhava (藏文:སྭ་བྷཱ་བ,Sanskrit Devanagari: स्वभाव,Sanskrit Romanization: svabhāva, Literal meaning: Self-nature). From emptiness, from Bhrūṃ (藏文:བྷྲཱུྃ,Sanskrit Devanagari: भ्रूम,Sanskrit Romanization: bhrūṃ, Literal meaning: Seed syllable) arise jewels, etc., and bless with Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ (藏文:ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ,Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम् आः हूँ,Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ āḥ hūṃ, Literal meaning: Om Ah Hum). Invite with Pheṃ (藏文:ཕེཾ,Sanskrit Devanagari: फें,Sanskrit Romanization: pheṃ, Literal meaning: Phat). Offer with Oṃ Sarva Vighnāṃ Namaḥ Sarva Tathāgate Bhyo (藏文:ཨོཾ་སརྦ་བིགྷྣཱཾ་ན་མཿསརྦ་ཏ་ཐཱ་ག་ཏེ་བྷྱོ་,Sanskrit Devanagari: ओम् सर्व विघ्नाम् नमः सर्व तथागते भ्यो,Sanskrit Romanization: oṃ sarva vighnāṃ namaḥ sarva tathāgate bhyo, Literal meaning: Om, all obstacles, homage, all tathagatas), etc. Homage to the Three Jewels! By the truth of the Three Jewels, the truth of the purity of Dharma, the truth of the infallible cause and effect of phenomena, and especially the truth of the deities of the mandala of the Compassionate Great Being Padma Garwang, and the truth of all emanations, further emanations, and hand gestures, by the blessing of the great truth, in order to accomplish the abiding ritual for these disciples, all obstructing forces, be satisfied by this torma, leave here, and depart elsewhere! If you do not depart, then with the wrathful wisdom vajra blazing with fire, your heads will be split into a hundred pieces! Expel the obstacles with the action mantra and the fierce mantra of Sumbha, accompanied by incense and music. Recite Vajra Raksha Raksha Hūṃ (藏文:བཛྲ་རཀྵ་རཀྵ་ཧཱུྃ་,Sanskrit Devanagari: वज्र रक्षा रक्षा हूँ,Sanskrit Romanization: vajra rakṣa rakṣa hūṃ, Literal meaning: Vajra, protect, protect, Hum), visualizing that all directions are bound by a vajra fence, a vajra net, a vajra tent, and an immeasurable array of wisdom flames, making it utterly indestructible. Then, the action vajra throws and retrieves flowers. The master says: For the benefit of all sentient beings, I shall attain the state of unsurpassed, perfect, complete enlightenment. For that purpose, I shall listen to the profound empowerment, the root of the Vajrayana path, and practice it properly. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------

For the sake of benefiting all sentient beings, I generate the supreme mind of enlightenment, and I listen to the Dharma with pure intention, as it is taught in the sutras and tantras. Therefore, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, possessing skillful means and great compassion, taught immeasurable nectar-like Dharma to suit the different thoughts, faculties, and karmic connections of sentient beings. All these teachings can be summarized into the nine vehicles, or simply into the Great Vehicle and the Small Vehicle. Here, we are referring to the Great Vehicle. The Great Vehicle is further divided into the causal vehicle and the resultant vehicle. Here, we are referring to the fact that although we understand all phenomena to be like illusions, whether or not they are grasped by skillful means will produce beneficial or harmful effects. Therefore, on the conventional level, we regard all phenomena as real, and based on the two truths (ultimate truth and conventional truth), we distinguish between good and bad, accepting and rejecting accordingly, and practice based on this. This method transcends the Paramita Vehicle and is the supreme Vajrayana—the resultant vehicle. In Vajrayana, although we do not consider the conventional to be real, we do not deny the existence of nominal designations, and therefore rely on the means of transformation. This includes the three sections of Kriya Yoga, Upa Yoga, and Yoga Mother Yoga. Even on the conventional level, we possess non-dual view and conduct, thereby realizing the nature of the result—the Dharmakaya of the union of appearance and emptiness. In this state, we become accustomed to this state through practice without acceptance or rejection, thereby liberating ourselves from the bondage of abandoning and adopting antidotes. This is the Anuttarayoga. Here, we are referring to the latter. Anuttarayoga is further divided into the New and Old Tantras. Here, we are referring to the Old Tantras, which are more supreme than the New Tantras, possessing six great characteristics. The Old Tantras are further divided into the Kama (Oral Transmission) and Terma (Treasure) traditions. Here, we are referring to the Central Treasure within the profound Terma, belonging to the root-like system of teachings, which is the ultimate of all profound and vast vehicles—the essential secret of the non-dual tantra of Anuttarayoga. This is the swift path to manifest supreme accomplishment in this very life, the essence of the essence of all tantras, instructions, and oral teachings. In order to practice the empowerment of the mandala of the Great Compassionate Avalokiteśvara (Skt. Ārya Avalokiteśvara) (藏文:འཕགས་པ་ཐུགས་རྗེ་ཆེན་པོ།,梵文天城体:आर्यावलोकितेश्वर,梵文罗马拟音:Ārya Avalokiteśvara,汉语字面意思:圣观自在), the collection of all Buddhas, as it is said: 'The mandala is required as a preliminary for empowerment.' Empowerment requires a mandala as a preliminary. Mandalas can be divided into three types: the mandala of intrinsic wisdom, the mandala of emanation, and the mandala of awareness experience. The former two are the realm of the noble ones, while for us ordinary beings, we can only create mandalas through visualization. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
