Upon a precious throne, there is a lotus, sun, and moon cushion. In the center of the mandala with lotus and moon cushions for other deities, visualize the Five Buddhas (Pañcabuddha), namely Vairochana (རྣམ་པར་སྣང་མཛད།, meaning: Illuminating Everything), and the other four Buddha fathers and mothers, with body colors of white, blue, yellow, red, and green respectively. The fathers hold their respective emblems in their right hands and longevity vases in their left hands; the mothers hold arrow-banners in their right hands and longevity vases in their left hands. To the left and right of the four wheels (Cakra), there are Bodhisattvas, and in front and behind, there are two consorts each, totaling six main deities and their retinues. In the outer courtyard, there are the Six Munis and fifty-eight wrathful deities. At the four gates, there are gatekeeper couples. Thus, visualize all the deities and retinues of the Amitāyus (ཚེ་དཔག་མེད།, Amitāyus) hundred-deity mandala clearly appearing, and generate great devotion and joy. Visualize the flowers previously offered as a crown of empowerment, placed on the crown of your head. Then, place the crown back on your head and recite: ཧོ༔ དེང་ནས་བུ་ཁྱོད་རྒྱལ་བའི་སྲས༔ （Tibetan） 'Ho! From this day forth, you are a child of the Victorious Ones.' དུས་གསུམ་སངས་རྒྱས་ཐུགས་སྲོག་འཛིན༔ （Tibetan） 'Holder of the heart essence of the Buddhas of the three times.' དབང་རྟགས་ཅོད་པན་འདི་བྱིན་པས༔ （Tibetan） 'By bestowing this crown of empowerment,' འཁོར་འདས་རང་གྲོལ་དབང་ཐོབ་ཤོག༔ （Tibetan） 'May you gain the power to freely liberate samsara and nirvana!' ན་མོ་པུ་རུ་ཤ་ཡ་ཨ་བྷི་ཥིཉྩ་ཧོ༔ （Tibetan, Devanagari, Romanized Sanskrit: Namo Purushaya Abhishintsa Ho, Literal Chinese meaning: Homage to the Supreme Being, grant empowerment!） Thus, the initial empowerment is given with the flower crown. Next, visualize the empowerment with the boundary-cutting sword, in the four forms of the wrathful Yamantaka (ཁྲོ་རྒྱལ་མཐར་བྱེད།), cutting off the four maras that obstruct life, and receive the empowerment of cutting off the four maras. Sequentially bestow the sword empowerment to the east, south, west, and north directions, and recite: ཧཱུྃ༔ སྐྱེ་ཤི་རྩད་གཅོད་རལ་གྲི་འདིས༔ （Tibetan） 'Hum!
