Please repeat the following: HO! Lama Yidam (བླ་མ་ཡི་དམ་, Guru-Ishtadevata), please be mindful (དགོངས་སུ་གསོལ, pay attention)! To this mandala (དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་, mandala) of the gathering of all Sugatas (བདེ་གཤེགས་ཀུན་འདུས་, gathering of all Sugatas)! We enter with faith (བདག་ཅག་དད་པས་འཇུག་པར་འཚལ, we enter with faith)! Please show the mandala with compassion (ཐུགས་རྗེས་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་བསྟན་པར་ཞུ, please show the mandala with compassion)!' Recite three times. For the sake of refuge, the foundation of the common Lesser Vehicle path, and for the sake of generating supreme Bodhicitta, the pillar of the uncommon Great Vehicle path. In front of the assembly of deities of the seven hundred and twenty-five great mandalas, and also in front of the refuge of the Three Roots and Dharma Protectors gathered like clouds, I and all sentient beings pervading space, from now until enlightenment is attained, take refuge, and generate the mind of aspiration, action, and ultimate Bodhicitta. With this in mind, repeat the following: Guru, Buddha, and retinue (བླ་མ་སངས་རྒྱས་འཁོར་དང་བཅས, Guru, Buddha, and retinue), please be mindful of me from all directions (ཀུན་ནས་བདག་ལ་དགོངས་སུ་གསོལ, please be mindful of me from all directions)! Guru, the Three Jewels (བླ་མ་དཀོན་མཆོག་རྣམ་གསུམ་པོ, Guru, the Three Jewels), until enlightenment is attained (བྱང་ཆུབ་མ་ཐོབ་བར་དུ་ནི, until enlightenment is attained), I will hold you as the supreme refuge (སྐྱབས་ཀྱི་མཆོག་ཏུ་བཟུང་བར་བགྱི, I will hold you as the supreme refuge)! I confess the sins and obscurations accumulated from the past (སྔོན་ནས་བསགས་པའི་སྡིག་སྒྲིབ་བཤགས, I confess the sins and obscurations accumulated from the past)! Thinking to attain Buddhahood for the benefit of beings (འགྲོ་དོན་སངས་རྒྱས་ཐོབ་བྱ་སྙམ, Thinking to attain Buddhahood for the benefit of beings)! I generate the aspiring Bodhicitta (སྨོན་པའི་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་དོ, I generate the aspiring Bodhicitta)! For the sake of fully maturing sentient beings (སེམས་ཅན་ཡོངས་སུ་སྨིན་བྱའི་ཕྱིར, For the sake of fully maturing sentient beings)! I generate the entering Bodhicitta (འཇུག་པའི་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས་བསྐྱེད་ཅིང་, I generate the entering Bodhicitta)! I practice the great secret mantra conduct (གསང་སྔགས་སྤྱོད་པ་རླབས་ཆེན་སྤྱད, I practice the great secret mantra conduct)! Ultimate Bodhicitta, free from elaboration (དོན་དམ་སྤྲོས་བྲལ་བྱང་ཆུབ་སེམས, Ultimate Bodhicitta, free from elaboration)! I meditate on self-arisen, boundless, empty clarity (རང་བྱུང་མཐའ་བྲལ་སྟོང་གསལ་བསྒོམ, I meditate on self-arisen, boundless, empty clarity)!' Recite three times to purify the mind stream. In front of all those places of refuge, in order to accumulate merit, place your mind in the samadhi of remembering the meaning of the ten-limbed offering, and repeat the following: Guru, Yidam, Dakini (བླ་མ་ཡི་དམ་མཁའ་འགྲོ་གཤེགས, Guru, Yidam, Dakini)! Reside on the seat of the sun, moon, and lotus (ཉི་ཟླ་པདྨའི་གདན་ལ་བཞུགས, Reside on the seat of the sun, moon, and lotus)! I prostrate with reverence in body, speech, and mind (ལུས་ངག་ཡིད་གསུམ་གུས་ཕྱག་འཚལ, I prostrate with reverence in body, speech, and mind)! I offer outer, inner, and secret offerings (ཕྱི་ནང་གསང་བའི་མཆོད་པ་འབུལ, I offer outer, inner, and secret offerings)! I confess and reveal broken vows and sins (ཉམས་ཆག་སྡིག་སྒྲིབ་མཐོལ་ཞིང་བཤགས, I confess and reveal broken vows and sins)! I rejoice in the practice of secret mantra (གསང་སྔགས་སྒྲུབ་ལ་རྗེས་ཡི་རང་, I rejoice in the practice of secret mantra)! Please turn the wheel of Dharma of maturation and liberation of secret mantra (སྨིན་གྲོལ་གསང་སྔགས་ཆོས་འཁོར་བསྐོར, Please turn the wheel of Dharma of maturation and liberation of secret mantra)! I request you to remain spontaneously accomplished (ལྷུན་གྱིས་གྲུབ་པར་བཞུགས་སུ་གསོལ, I request you to remain spontaneously accomplished)! I dedicate the essence for the benefit of sentient beings (སྙིང་པོ་སེམས་ཅན་དོན་དུ་བསྔོ, I dedicate the essence for the benefit of sentient beings)! May I realize the meaning of true Vajra (ཡང་དག་རྡོ་རྗེའི་དོན་རྟོགས་ཤོག, May I realize the meaning of true Vajra)!' Recite three times to accumulate merit. In order to properly take and uphold the vows of the five families, both general and specific, common and uncommon to Vajrayana, resolve to protect them properly and repeat the following: The vows are the three trainings (སྡོམ་པ་ཡི་ནི་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་དང་, The vows are the three trainings): The discipline of restraint (དགེ་བའི་ཆོས་ནི་སྡུད་པ་དང་, The discipline of restraint), The accumulation of virtue (སེམས་ཅན་དོན་བྱེད་ཚུལ་ཁྲིམས་གསུམ, The discipline of benefiting beings), The three disciplines of benefiting beings (ནམ་ཡང་བདག་གིས་མི་སྤོང་ངོ་, I will never abandon)!
