First, in order to request to enter the presence of the indivisible guru and mandala to receive the Dharma, please offer a mandala. Please offer the mandala. Visualize in the space in front of you, the guru, yidam, dakinis, all Buddhas, Bodhisattvas, etc., are truly present. In order to accumulate merit, please offer the seven-branch offering and follow along in recitation: Homage! Guru, Yidam, Dakini, please come to this place! Please be seated on the beautiful sun, moon, and lotus seat! I prostrate with body, speech, and mind, with devotion! I offer with clouds of outer and inner secret offerings! Do not interrupt (ྒྱུན་མི་བཅད). Do not speak for the sake of secrecy (གསང་བའི་དོན་ཕྱིར་སྨྲ་མི་བྱ). Grant me the heart of Bodhi (བྱང་ཆུབ་སྙིང་པོ་བདག་ལ་སྩོལ). Samaya idam tu nara kana (ས་མ་ཡ་ཨི་དན་ཏུ་ན་ར་ཀན)! Three times. After that, it is to be done outside the barrier. Then, at the beginning of entering the mandala, visualize the Karma Vajra master as the doorkeeper, the wrathful one with a blue staff, and request permission, repeating after this: ' Alas (ཀྱེ)! I wish to go there (བདག་ཉིད་མཆིས་པར་འཚལ་ལགས་ཀྱིས)! Please open this auspicious door (བཟང་པོའི་སྒོ་འདི་རྣམ་པར་ཕྱེས)! Praveshaya Phat (པྲ་བེ་ཤ་ཡ་ཕཊ)!' Having prayed in this way, contemplate that the doorkeeper speaks thus: 'Alas (ཀྱེ)! Hinayana Shravakas, heretical outsiders, and (ཐེག་དམན་ཉན་ཐོས་ལོག་ལྟ་མུ་སྟེགས་དང་), immature beings, those who do not possess the vessel (མ་སྨིན་སྐྱེ་བོ་སྣོད་དང་མི་ལྡན་པ), those ones are not allowed to enter (དེ་དག་ནང་དུ་རྣམ་པར་གཏོང་བ་མིན). If one is fortunate, possesses the vessel, and has karma, it is fine (སྐལ་ལྡན་སྣོད་ལྡན་ལས་ཅན་ཡིན་ན་རུང་). Are you one who possesses fortune (སྐལ་པ་དག་དང་ལྡན་པ་ཡིན་ལགས་སམ)?' In response, repeat after this: 'I am one who possesses fortune (སྐལ་པ་དང་ལྡན་པ་ལགས་སོ)!' Having answered thus, the doorkeeper recognizes that he is fortunate, and holding the Vajra of Karma in his hand, he leads him into the palace, and he is motivated to offer prostrations and a mandala to the Vajra master. Remove the veil. Request that a red blindfold be tied on, symbolizing that he has not previously entered this mandala. Om Vajra Yaksha Hum (ཨོཾ་བཛྲ་ཡཀྴ་ཧཱུྃ)! Cleanse the blindfold with Karma water. Om Chakshu Bandha Vara Manaya Hum (ཨོཾ་ཙཀྵུཿབནྡྷ་བཱ་ར་མ་ཎཱ་ཡ་ཧཱུྃ)! Tie it on. Motivate yourself to offer a garland of precious flowers as a token of meeting the deities of the mandala. Ah Kham Bira Hum (ཨཱ་ཁཾ་བཱི་ར་ཧཱུྃ)! Affix the crest jewel. With palms together, holding flowers, repeat after this prayer: ' Ho (ཧོ)! Lama Vajradhara, please listen (བླ་མ་རྡོ་རྗེ་འཛིན་པ་དགོངས)! In the mandala of the three roots (རྩ་བ་གསུམ་གྱི་དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་དུ)! We enter and diligently practice (བདག་ཅག་འཇུག་ཅིང་བསྙེན་སྒྲུབ་སྤྲོ)! Respectfully desiring to enter, please instruct (གུས་པས་འཇུག་འདོད་བསྟན་དུ་གསོལ)!' Three times. The Lama says: ' Alas Ho (ཀྱེ་ཧོཿ)! Faithful child, listen (དད་ལྡན་བུ་ཁྱོད་ཉོན)! This essence of the most secret meaning (ཡང་གསང་དོན་གྱི་སྙིང་པོ་འདི)! Even by seeing, hearing, or remembering it once (མཐོང་ཐོས་ལན་གཅིག་དྲན་པས་ཀྱང་)! One will surely proceed to the state of Bodhi (ངེས་པར་བྱང་ཆུབ་སར་བགྲོད་ཅིང་)! If doubt or hesitation arises (ཐེ་ཚོམ་ཡིད་གཉིས་སྐྱེས་གྱུར་ན)! One will be born in the Vajra hell (རྡོ་རྗེའི་དམྱལ་བར་སྐྱེ་བར་བྱེད)! Think greatly of good and bad (ལེགས་ཉེས་ཆེ་བར་བསམ་པར་གྱིས)! If you truly understand and can keep the vows (དོན་དམ་བློར་ངེས་དམ་ཐུབ་ན)! I will teach this most secret essence (ཡང་གསང་སྙིང་པོ་བསྟན་པར་བྱ)!' In response, repeat after this prayer: 'Chief of the mandala, Vajradhara (དཀྱིལ་འཁོར་གཙོ་བོ་རྡོ་རྗེ་འཆང་)! Padma Gyalpo, please listen (པདྨ་རྒྱལ་པོ་དགོངས་སུ་གསོལ)! We are fortunate, of the Mahayana lineage (བདག་ཅག་ལས་ལྡན་ཐེག་ཆེན་རིགས)! With unwavering faith in the supreme secret (གསང་བ་མཆོག་ཏུ་བློ་ངེས་ཤིང་)! Without regard for body or life (ལུས་དང་སྲོག་ལ་མི་བལྟ་བར)! We will accomplish the vows and teachings as instructed (དམ་ཚིག་བཀའ་བསྩལ་གཞུང་བཞིན་བསྒྲུབ)! Please surely grant and bestow (ངེས་པར་གནང་ཞིང་བསྩལ་དུ་གསོལ)!' Alas (ཀྱེ)! Lama, Buddhas... --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
