Regarding the fundamental vows of body, speech, and mind, Due to my lack of pure service and effort, I have acted contrary to the Vajra Master's mind; Due to my insufficient love, compassion, and shame, I have acted contrary to the minds of my Dharma brothers and sisters; Due to my carelessly interrupting the practice of mantra and mudra, I have violated the vow of speech; Regarding the four common secrets and the eight intermediate secrets, etc., Regarding what should be kept secret and what has been entrusted to be kept secret, And regarding neglecting the gates of secrecy, etc., Wherever I have violated the fundamental vows, I confess with sincere remorse, Please accept me with compassion as vast as the sky, Confess and purify my faults, Grant me the accomplishments of body, speech, and mind! Regarding the five vows that must not be abandoned, Desire, hatred, ignorance, pride, and jealousy, These five afflictions, Are the field of practice for the unsurpassed secret mantra, The great bliss of Samantabhadra's adornment. The nature of the five families and five wisdoms, I have failed to realize its originally pure reality, And abandoned it due to wrong clinging, please forgive me! Regarding the five vows that should be accepted, Meat, blood, feces, urine, and semen, Are originally the nature of the five ambrosias (Panchamrita), The substances for the practice of the Buddhas of the past, present, and future, The footprints of the Buddhas and Bodhisattvas. Originally the nature of complete purity, I, due to the distinction between purity and impurity, and small asceticism, Have failed to realize the equality of Dharmata, And failed to accept the substances of the vows, please forgive me! Regarding the five vows that should be practiced, The view of realizing no birth and no death, And the clarity of place, time, and Samadhi, And liberating all beings of the three realms from Samsara, And the view of no separation between past, present, and future, And the clarity of mantra, mudra, and Samadhi, And the manifestation and union of skillful means and wisdom, And the food and wealth that are stingy and obstructive, Giving and receiving in the form of skillful means of light, Offering to the noble ones for the benefit of sentient beings, And others do not understand the view and practice of secret mantra, Lying because it is unfathomable, And practicing wrathful mantras and violent actions for the benefit of sentient beings, Although these all come from the sutras and tantras, I have failed to practice and implement them, please forgive me! Ah! Regarding these five vows to be upheld, the outer world, the inner beings, and all that appears and exists, From the very beginning, they possess the nature of the Five Buddhas, although they do not exist apart from my own essence, Yet, due to my weak understanding and realization, and my failure to fully grasp their profound meaning, please forgive me. The accumulated Tsog offerings of past years, and the inadequacy of offerings and food, Contradicting the wishes of the Vajra Master, violating the vows of the Dakinis, Transgressing the scriptures and teachings, I confess everything. Failing to firmly establish the view, failing to abandon negative actions, The consequences of breaking vows are unbearable, the Vajra demons will drink my heart's blood, Short life, many illnesses, loss of wealth, fear of enemies, And the terrifying suffering of the Avici Hell, All these unbearable sufferings, if they arise from my breaking vows, I confess, May all that is broken and missing be restored, may I attain the fruit of great accomplishment. May the Buddhas of the three times bless me, may the vows be fulfilled, and may the Dakinis protect me. May light arise from the realm of non-dual secret, pure as the sky, Although there is no conceptual thought, may you seize me by the power of past vows, Please show me the supreme form like a wish-fulfilling jewel, may you grant me accomplishment from the realm of Vidyadharas. Gods and non-gods, and the Yogis of the ten directions, Never transgressing the Vajra vows, this is an eternal commitment. The Three Roots and the twenty-five branches, whether knowingly or unknowingly, the vows broken due to ignorance, May all that is stained by the faults of broken vows be purified. With this confession of suffering from broken vows, may the vows of the Yogis be fulfilled, May I attain the fruit of great accomplishment, may all sentient beings in the three realms of Samsara, Be established in the rank of equal Vajra, may the Dakinis seize me with compassion, May all the faults of broken vows be completely purified, and may you grant me the accomplishments of body, speech, and mind.
