O mind-body of the intermediate state who has passed away and changed bodies! In the past, due to the karma of ignorance and delusion, bound by the three poisons, you suffered in the three lower realms. From now on, relying on the compassion of the Buddhas, guided by the messengers, be liberated from the six realms of samsara. In order to obtain meaning and result, generate strong faith! Pray to the six Munis!' Thus he instructed. Third, the deceased, with great reverence, said: 'Listen! Abandon all attachments to the six senses, depart in peace! Mapa Zhalyekhang, where the peaceful and wrathful deities reside. By bestowing empowerment upon you, the deceased, May the gates of the six realms be sealed, and may you gain control over the five Buddha lands! Karma Consecrate Ah) Fifth, the Torma. Purify with Raṃ(藏文:རྃ,梵文天城体:रं,梵文罗马拟音:raṃ,Fire), Yaṃ(藏文:ཡྃ,梵文天城体:यं,梵文罗马拟音:yaṃ,Wind), Khaṃ(藏文:ཁྃ,梵文天城体:खं,梵文罗马拟音:khaṃ,Space), and bless with Oṃ Āḥ Hūṃ Hoḥ(藏文:ཨོཾ་ཨཱཿཧཱུྃ་ཧོཿ). Hūṃ! This Torma, endowed with the five desirable qualities, Is offered to the deceased, those seeking karmic debts, Living demons, dead demons, and debtors. May you be pleased and satisfied with this Torma, And do not obstruct the liberation of the deceased! Thus dedicate. Sixth, attachment, hatred, and ignorance, As well as pride, wrong views, and doubt, These are the poisons of the world, Kunzang (Samantabhadra) peaceful and wrathful deities are free from poisons. Subdue the poisons with the truth of the Buddha! May the defilements of these, The deceased, be purified! Recite the root mantra, the hundred-syllable mantra, and other mantras for purification, and strike with sand, visualizing the wisdom fire burning the habitual tendencies of the six realms. Seventh, hold the bathing vase. This is the water of the nature of the six perfections (Phyin Drug), Which purifies the defilements of afflictions. By thoroughly washing with the water of the perfections, May the defilements of the six afflictions be purified! Recite the hundred-syllable mantra and bathe, visualizing that the stream of Bodhicitta water also cleanses the ashes of afflictions. Eighth, from this point downwards, Is the realm of the sixfold cycle of existence. Abandon it, renounce it, son of the lineage! From this point upwards, Is the realm of higher realms and liberation. Go forth, proceed, son of the lineage! May you attain the irreversible ground! Thus recite, and guide from the realms of the six destinies. Cut off the return path with the Vajra, and place it on the empowerment platform. Visualize the deceased prostrating to the deities of the mandala and taking refuge, and mentally recite the following words: I beseech all the Gurus residing in the ten directions, the supreme Three Jewels, the peaceful and wrathful deities, and the vast assembly of the mandala, from this day forth, I take refuge in you. Compassionate protectors, please look upon beings like me in samsara, helpless and tormented by fear in the Bardo state. Bound by the negative karma accumulated since beginningless time, I implore you to lead me from the endless suffering of samsara to the realm of great bliss. In the terrifying realm of the Bardo, in the perilous passage of Yama (Shinje), wandering in places of dread, tormented by the pangs of affliction, I beseech you to protect us with loving compassion. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
