Regarding diseases of the female genitals, they are explained in four ways: causes, conditions, classifications, and symptoms and treatments. The causes and conditions are excessive sexual activity, and improper diet and behavior after postpartum bleeding. These cause all uterine diseases to arise. The classifications are wind, bile, blood, and phlegm combined. Its symptoms are, wind-caused, the inside of the uterus is without sensation, like a dead thing. Menstruation is thin, with bubbles, and scant. The vaginal opening is sweet, and one thinks there are creatures inside. Menstruation clots or stagnates, forming lumps. The vaginal opening is crooked, secretions are moist, closed, hard, etc. Causing various unbearable uterine diseases to occur. Bile-caused menstruation is yellow-black, with a strong odor. Burning and stinging, fever arises, and pus flows. Blood-caused menstruation does not stop, bleeding constantly. Phlegm-caused itching, cold, slight pain, secreting mucus. Combined-caused is said to cause all diseases. Thus, all uterine diseases cause inability to conceive. The treatment method is that most uterine diseases are caused by wind. Therefore, it is recommended to treat with oil treatments, gentle ointments, and fomentation. After that, correct crookedness and close the vaginal opening. Cleanse all uterine diseases with a soft catheter. Acorus calamus, fennel, rock salt, long pepper, cumin, roasted barley, ashes of Butea monosperma, cardamom, and Ziziphus jujuba, etc., boiled with alcohol and ghee, can eliminate uterine diseases and hemorrhoids. 25-292 Mutton, turnip, ashes of Butea monosperma boiled and taken as a decoction.
