Immerse feet in water, diarrhea with white foam. Sometimes stools are dry and constipated. Cold distension, swelling and foul odor. Feeling of heaviness in the cecum, sometimes diarrhea with white food residue. Heat disease, dry mouth, excessive thirst. Swelling, black sweat, constipation. Indigestion, bloating, rumbling, no matter what is eaten. Feeling weak, dry mouth, feeling like the kidneys and waist are about to break. Gas, the spine is stiff and painful. Then, the sage Yidlas Kye also reported thus: O venerable teacher, sage Rigpai Yeshe, how should one learn about treating secret diseases? Please, the king of physicians, the savior, explain. After reporting thus, the sage Rigpai Yeshe said this: O great sage, listen! Secret diseases are of two types: diseases of the penis and diseases of the vagina. Diseases of the penis are explained in terms of four aspects: causes, classification, symptoms, and treatment methods. The causes are excessive sexual activity, contact with pus, and suppressing the urge to urinate, defecate, and ejaculate. The classifications are five types: fresh sores, pimples, phimosis, adhesion of the urethra, and purulent conditions. Fresh sores are caused by a combination of wind, bile, blood, and phlegm. There are said to be nine types of penile diseases. The symptoms are as follows: fresh sores caused by wind manifest as constant erection and cracking of the skin. Caused by bile, they manifest as red swelling with fever. Caused by blood, they manifest as black pimples with bleeding. Caused by phlegm, they manifest as itching, swelling, and heaviness. Caused by a combination, they manifest as swelling of the testicles, difficulty in suppuration, and all the symptoms. Pimples are characterized by the penis being covered with pimples. Phimosis is characterized by the foreskin being turned back, swelling, and ulcers. Adhesion of the urethra is characterized by the urethral opening being closed, difficulty in urination, and obstruction. Purulent conditions are characterized by a feeling of fullness of pus inside the penis. The treatment methods are as follows: for fresh sores, in the early stages, perform bloodletting and cauterization, administer enemas for purgation, and apply cooling ointments. When mature, cut open and apply an ointment made from ghee, honey, and sesame oil. Grind spang ma, turmeric, cardamom, gentian into powder, mix with white sandalwood, black agalloch, juniper, costus, fennel, sugar, add rock salt, potassium salt, and haritaki powder, mix with honey and apply to heal fresh sores. Burn new pottery and mix with three fruits, grind into ash, mix with ghee and apply. For those caused by wind, mix turmeric with ghee and apply. For those caused by bile, apply camphor, sandalwood, clove. For those caused by blood, apply rue, Vasa. For those caused by phlegm, apply emblica and honey. For those caused by a combination, apply general wound healing methods. For pimples, excise them and treat as fresh sores. For phimosis, apply oil and massage, then fumigate with oil. For adhesion of the urethra, dilate with a probe and cut open, then treat. For purulent conditions, apply a paste made from barley flour, caraway, and ghee, cooked and stirred. Thus he spoke.
