For this, there are three types: preliminary, main, and subsequent. The preliminary includes four types: disease, timing, ritual, and examination. The preliminary of the disease is to observe whether it can be distinguished. Indistinguishable situations are caused by phlegm and colds, with symptoms such as indigestion, diarrhea, vomiting, headache, the appearance of enemy omens on the body, unfavorable astrology, low divination, and the melting of mixed eye fat. External and internal obstructions cannot be distinguished by needle therapy. Even if removed when immature, they will cover again, so avoid it. If you cannot see the rising and setting of fire, moon, and sun, it is past the time, the power of the queen has diminished, and it is indistinguishable. Distinguishable situations are reversible like oil drops in water, and a moon like a full moon can be distinguished. The preliminary of timing, wind obstruction needs three years to mature, mucus needs one year, and mixed needs one and a half years. Bile needs six months to mature. When immature, use harmful food to mature it. The preliminary of the ritual is to perform one hundred and eight bathing and water offerings, recite the five sutras, offer to the gods, and eliminate harm. The preliminary of the examination is to decompose the disease, remove dirt, and perform heating, melting, wine boiling, and steam fumigation. The main practice includes rituals, secret areas, striking methods, removal methods, coal quantity, fixation methods, and signs of good and bad. In general, you need to understand the seven forms. The first is the size of the needle and the preparation work. The materials for the needle are gold, copper, and Ragam. The shape is like buckwheat leaves, yak tongue, knife edge, and chisel.
