Two days of comfort, one day of pain. The so-called heat disease, bile running in the vessels, this disease is caused by the influence of nagas, demons, and northern medicine. The heat of bile escapes externally through the pores of sweat, internally affecting both the liver and gallbladder. Not staying in its place, it runs through all the vessels. Upward, it invades the head and brain, seizing the territory of phlegm; downward, it invades the kidneys and marrow, seizing the territory of water; internally, it invades the lungs and heart, seizing the territory of wind; it invades the stomach, large intestine, small intestine, and other organs, seizing the territory of bile; it escapes outward to the skin, seizing strength and color. Finally, the bile is used by the wind, wandering into the life force vessels, thus shortening life. Its symptoms are shivering and trembling, weak intestines, the pulse is empty and rapid, and the urine is turbid. The head and joints ache, and there is itching. In the middle stage, the disease worsens, and the urine is like black oil. The whites of the eyes, under the tongue, purpura, and skin turn yellow. Mouth dryness, body heat, little sleep, and loss of appetite. Nails become brittle, and the tongue and lips turn white and yellow. Headaches, lips and tongue crack, and tartar accumulates on the teeth. The liver and gallbladder swell, and pressure is unbearable. The disease's odor and fumes cause loss of strength and radiance. There is no time to mature, and death occurs within seven or nine days. Some fools wait for the time of maturity. The pulse is weak, consciousness is clear, but physical strength is lost. External heat is low, and the skin color is yellow like gold. Time has passed, and reaching its own place, there is no way to reverse it. Therefore, be vigilant when it is not yet mature. Especially when it escapes to the head, causing brain pain and nosebleeds. If it falls to the lungs, there is chest pain and yellow sputum. If it falls to the kidneys, there is pain in the kidneys and lower back, and urine is blocked. If it falls to the stomach, there is mouth dryness and vomiting of bile. If it falls to the intestines, there is severe pain and dysentery. These are unchanging and unmistakable disease signs. The methods of treatment are general and specific, two types. The general treatment for when it is not yet mature is the four-ingredient Manchu formula, or the five-flavor Snow Mountain formula to promote maturity. Food and behavior should be treated with a balance of coolness and warmth. See the chapter on general treatment for immaturity for details. In the middle stage of maturity and aggravation, use bitter gentian, calendula, as well as Fumaria parviflora, Fagonia cretica, and Ligusticum wallichii. A decoction of Terminalia chebula to induce profuse sweating. If the heat is too strong, add camphor, Gypsum, Cinnabar, Saffron, and White Monkshood. Combine with bitter gentian and sugar, and administer with the decoction.

The abundance of food and conduct is the same as usual. Especially, all fevers are harmful to yogurt. After thirteen days, milk is like nectar. Finally, release hail arrows at the junction of mountains and valleys. Relax the diet, take temperature measurements, which is the method of exorcising demons. It should be known in the chapter on the junction of mountains and valleys. Use four tongues: bigpen, white thread grass, lemongrass, and turmeric. Mix the heat and burn without letting the smoke escape. If there is a headache, mix the ashes with five-sided arura. If nosebleeds occur, mix the ashes of twins. If the joints are affected, mix horse skin ash. If the stool is blocked, mix the ashes of claws. If urination is difficult, mix the ashes of Tribulus terrestris. For wind fever, massage with bone broth. At the junction of mountains and valleys, offer a handful of chang. Drinking chang and falling asleep is black camphor. All types of wind fever should be praised, especially the nectar at the junction of mountains and valleys. The immature junction of mountains and valleys is precious for fever. 25-234 Therefore, the wise should be careful at this time. There are three special methods of treatment. Treating according to the location of the lesion is: if the lesion is in the pores, wait for digestion and drink boiled water. Do not eat cold foods, it is difficult to digest. Do not take cold decoction powders, it will worsen the fever. Do not eat oily foods, the fever will stick to the bones. Then, if the lesion is on the skin, drink Manu four-flavor soup. If the fever is severe, drink three fruits and Ceylon olive soup. Do not burn at this time, the fever will enter the body. Do not eat warm foods, it will stick like glue. Do not take cold powders, it will block the path of fever. In particular, avoid bloodletting, laxatives, and cold foods. For fever, do not perform sky burial, do not sweat. Then, if the lesion is in the veins, eat six good medicines, Vasaka, licorice, and sugar mixed foods and drinks, which should be cool. At this time, avoid drinking decoctions and blockages. If oily foods hide changes, burning will spread the fever. Sour foods will cause bad blood to stick to the veins, making it difficult to cure.
