If the descent is not noticed, continue to use cool therapy, it will lead to the extinction of stomach fire, turning into tumors and ascites. In response, efforts should be made to use the four fire therapies to quickly stop it. In addition, if cool therapy is used for heat disease, due to encountering the factors of place, season, and wind, it will produce scattered wind, blowing the remnants of heat disease, like the body is on fire, the mouth and tongue are dry, breathing is short, the pulse is strong, pain occurs, and thirst is severe. This is the descent of heat disease caused by wind. If the descent is not noticed, continue to use cool therapy, just like wind helps the fire, it will burn firewood. Therefore, food should be used to identify excessive heat disease and demons. If neither the sign nor the essence has changed, then it is insufficient therapy, or it is produced and transformed by reversal. If both have changed, then there is no possibility of confusion. 尊敬的医药之王智慧明鉴！热病容易用对治法来消除，但热病治疗后产生寒病，因寒热错乱而导致他人丧命，请您开示山谷交界处的辨识和治疗方法，以及毫无错谬的要诀。智慧明鉴回答说：山谷交界处的险要之处有三种：风的消融冰冻要提前迎接，胆的消融冰冻要在险要处等待，黏液的消融冰冻要在后面截断。如果不懂得这些，就会把所有交界处都看作一样，这是愚昧的做法，会导致他人丧命，因此，务必要了解这三种险要之处。衰老和风大的热病会使风停留在原来的位置，因悲伤而引起的突发性风病会蔓延。服用樟脑、放血、泻药等过于猛烈地驱赶热病，这些情况在体质虚弱的时候，风会抬起头部，出现零散的风症。零散的风会吹动热病，导致脉搏跳动、尿液发红、发热、口渴等症状，舌头干燥、狂躁等，这些都是热病的假象，是容易迷惑的地方。如果追逐这些看似热病的症状，风会把热病推向命脉，这就是所谓的脉搏空虚，很难治疗。因此，要用食物提前迎接，堵住风的源头。如果过于迎接，反而会使热病停留在体内。用食物控制后，会滋生旧病。风的消融冰冻不明显，容易出错。因此，要从外、内、秘密三个方面来辨识。热病被风吹动的外在症状是：脉搏跳动，但按压却感觉空虚；尿液颜色发红，但清澈且泡沫多；有疼痛，但不确定，到处游走；舌苔干燥，但发红且非常粗糙；口渴，但不喝水也能忍受；狂躁、呼吸急促，但鼻孔张开。按压风穴会感到疼痛，难以忍受。使用清凉的药物或放血疗法，热病会再次复发。服用红糖、酸奶、骨头汤等，热病的症状会消失。内在的检查是：脉搏空虚且跳动快，尿液颜色发红、清澈且泡沫多，舌苔发红、干燥且粗糙。如果这三者都符合，就可以停止进食。舌苔干燥之后，会有风吹的感觉。如果干燥且消瘦，说明热病比风更严重。如果干燥且发黑，说明风和热病各占一半。发红且干燥粗糙

If you chase after these seemingly feverish symptoms, the wind will push the fever to the life force, which is called empty pulse, and is difficult to treat. Therefore, welcome it in advance with food and block the source of the wind. If you welcome it too much, the fever will remain in the body. After controlling it with food, it will breed old diseases. The melting and freezing of wind is not obvious and is prone to error. Therefore, identify it from three aspects: outer, inner, and secret. The external symptoms of fever being blown by wind are: the pulse is rapid, but it feels empty when pressed; the urine is red, but clear and foamy; there is pain, but it is uncertain and wanders everywhere; the tongue coating is dry, but red and very rough; there is thirst, but you can endure without drinking water; mania and rapid breathing, but the nostrils are open. Pressing the wind point will cause pain and be unbearable. Using cooling medicines or bloodletting, the fever will recur. Taking brown sugar, yogurt, bone soup, etc., the symptoms of fever will disappear. The internal examination is: the pulse is empty and fast, the urine is red, clear, and foamy, the tongue coating is red, dry, and rough. If these three are consistent, you can stop eating.
