Four ounces of garlic, boiled in eight times the amount of water. After concentrating the water, mix with milk and drink, which can eliminate wind swellings. It can eliminate wind-heat diseases, bhūta afflictions, and all wind diseases. Costus root, turmeric, rue, potassium salt. Sanguisorba officinalis, haritaki, emblic myrobalan, radish seeds, as well as white sandalwood and zedoary powder, can be used to treat wind swellings. For worm swellings, use rock salt, sanguisorba officinalis, haritaki, quince. Make pills from wood ash and brown sugar to break them from the inside. Puffball, osmanthus fragrans, garlic, moxa wool fumigation. For those difficult to eliminate, garlic medicinal oil containing anthelmintics can be used. Eating and taking lubricants will cure it. Use the juice of lacquer tree and sesame oil, and three kinds of ginger. Adding brown sugar and butter can eliminate new uterine swellings. Use peach root and long pepper root. As well as karanja and long pepper powder. Boiling with sesame oil and taking it can eliminate uterine swellings. After the swelling is eliminated, if bleeding does not stop, protect the body's functions. After that, mix five root medicinal oils. Pay close attention to keeping warm in diet and daily life. For bladder swellings, use four spoonfuls of borax, and two spoonfuls of rock salt, poison, and three kinds of ginger. Mix with jujube paste and brown sugar, and take with alcohol. After the stone dissolves, the urethra will naturally be unblocked. In short, wind swellings should be treated with oily medicines. Bile swellings should be purged, and blood swellings should be bled. Pulse swellings should be made to suppurate and soaked in warm water. Stone swellings should be probed, and spleen swellings should be broken with medicine. Water swellings and pus swellings should be secretly incised and drained. Internal swellings should be treated with medicine, and middle swellings should be broken with a probe. External swellings should be sucked out with a jar and bled. If you understand these, you can become a qualified doctor. Thus it is said. Regarding edema, it is explained in four ways: causes, conditions, classifications, symptoms, and treatments. The causes and conditions are improper diet and behavior, leading to undigested essence remaining in the liver, unable to transform into nutrients. Aggravated impure blood and serous fluid are dispersed by wind, spreading throughout the body, thus causing edema. If it invades the lungs, liver, and spleen, and combines with serous fluid and wind, it is classified into five types. Lung edema is mainly blood-related, liver edema is related to bile, and spleen edema is related to phlegm. Serous fluid edema spreads between muscles and skin, and wind-related edema is located in the heart and vital vessels. Its symptoms are divided into general and specific symptoms. General symptoms include swelling of the face, eyelids, ankles, and front of the lower legs. Movement causes shortness of breath, palpitations, and loss of appetite. Food is not digested, and the tongue, lips, and gums become ulcerated. The body is weak, the pulse is faint, and serous fluid is very troublesome. Specific symptoms include frequent coughing in lung edema, bloody sputum, chest tightness, and coughing. In liver edema, the whites of the eyes become cloudy, and the complexion and urine turn yellow. In spleen edema, there is abdominal distension, frequent hiccups, and the tongue and lips turn white. Serous fluid edema causes itching and blisters. Wind-related edema causes little sleep, and the swelling comes and goes, with great changes. Treatment methods are divided into general and specific treatments. General treatment is primarily because wind dominates, so sweet tastes, cloves, mutton, valerian, ghee, wine, and massage can alleviate it. If it cannot be alleviated, then four methods are needed: medicine, acupuncture, diet, and behavior. In terms of medicine, because edema is mainly wind-related, first use five bitter medicines. Take and apply Gang Zhi Ma medicated oil. After that, use a strong emetic to induce vomiting.
