If the swelling throbs and is accompanied by demonic influence, do not cut it open. For all that are difficult to heal, treat from the pulse or stomach. To eliminate the cause from the root, this is the best treatment. If the swelling is painless, hard, and has excessive gas, then a broth of meat in water is also commendable.
