Head spins, ears buzz and roar. Tongue is dry, red, rough, mouth tastes astringent and bland. Pain shifts, chills, movement causes back pain and stooping. Stiffness, contraction, cracking, stretching, and feeling twisted. Movement increases pain, hair stands on end, yellow scales appear. Insomnia, yawning, trembling, desire to stretch, eating. Hips, waist, all joints feel beaten. Back of the neck, chest, and edges of the ribs ache and throb. Wind's orifices open, pain when pressed. Feeling empty and wanting to vomit, spitting phlegm in the morning. Bloating, rumbling, constipation, pain after digestion in the morning. The signs of bile derangement are that the pulse is large, thin, tight, and fast. Urine color is red-yellow, odor is strong, steam is large. Headache, fever, mouth tastes bitter, sour, and spicy. Tongue has thick coating, nostrils are dry. Whites of the eyes are red-yellow, pain gathers together. Sleep is short at night, unable to sleep during the day. Phlegm is red-yellow, feels hot, thirst is great. Vomiting blood and bile, sweating a lot, odor is unpleasant. Color is red-yellow, ripens and decays. Pain during digestion at noon and midnight. The signs of phlegm derangement are that the pulse is deep, weak, and slow. Urine color is white, odor and steam are small. Mouth, uterus, tongue coating are white, whites of the eyes are swollen. Much nasal mucus and phlegm, dizziness, body feels heavy. Poor appetite, no heat, weak digestion. Kidneys and waist ache, body swells, growths appear. Vomiting phlegm and food, and diarrhea. Memory is unclear, drowsiness, buttocks feel cold. Itching, stiffness, joints are tight, muscles grow, course of illness is long. Cloudy weather, evening, and morning, worsens after eating. As described above, the three of increase, decrease, and derangement, Just as the signs are spoken of, pervade all illnesses. Understand through the signs of combination, aggregation, and mixture.
