The six mantra wheels were in accordance with the principles of the beautiful Vajra, one that was very clear, long-lasting, and radiating light. From the 17th of the eleventh month of the Hor calendar, the Kalachakra initiation was started. The offerings for the deceased official A-lje of Shigatse (present-day Shigatse City, Tibet) were not delivered in time, but were later made up. Due to concerns about the measles of Zhabdrung Gyalbu, he went to Panam Lhundrub Tse, but did not offer body and speech offerings. That winter, a great commentary was made on the Black Wrathful Dakini Sadhana composed by the accomplished practitioner Chöpai Dorje. Previously, because the Desi (噶厦大臣) was at the front lines of battle, inauspicious signs appeared during the practice, and the Desi originally planned to return to Tsang around July or August, and ordered that it be done without fail, but due to being very busy, he was unable to go. Those who came frequently like messengers to his side also said that there were no good omens. At this time, his health was slightly better, so he was repeatedly and earnestly invited. On the eleventh day of the first month of the Bird year, he set out from Takten. On the fifteenth, he arrived at Lhundrub Tse and began to offer initiations and so on to Zhabdrung Gyalbu. News came from Lhasa that the entourage would arrive on the twenty-third. On the twenty-fifth, he set out for Chu-nyen, during which Zhabdrung passed away, and offerings for swift rebirth were made. Due to the political turmoil, it was temporarily kept secret, and the offerings were not delivered in time. Afterwards, he returned to the Dzong, and the reincarnation of Tenzin Rinpoche also came to request teachings, and he bestowed all the Shangpa Kagyu teachings, and gave many initiations and subsequent permissions to both the Desi and the reincarnation. In March, he went to Samding Monastery in Dolchung. For the sake of the Desi's well-being, a grand Torma offering was made from the top of Jomo Phurtang. In April, both the patrons and benefactors went to Samdrub Tse in Shigatse. A new protector chapel was built, and the Nethang artisans made painted images of Gonpo Trakshad and his sister, and the reincarnation Pakangpa painted images of the retinue of Gonpo. All the sacred objects and blessed substances were collected, and a grand consecration ceremony was held. Auspicious and wonderful signs appeared. Protector offerings were performed.
