Incomplete Value Taking, such as not having a mistaken cognition of an object that is complete and not erroneous. Regarding practicing impurity, as it is said in the scriptures, sexual intercourse should not be primarily based on cognition. Therefore, whether or not a mistaken cognition arises does not entirely depend on cognition. Regarding lying, if one says "obtained the fruit of permanence," but actually means "obtained the fruit of an Arhat," this is not a verbal error, but rather not having a mistaken cognition of that object. Action refers to, in the case of killing, directly engaging in the act of killing oneself, or having others do it. Praising death, and then causing oneself to die, killing with weapons, mantras, medicines, etc. Taking what is not given refers to forcibly seizing another's property, or secretly stealing, or robbing others, or instructing others to steal, enticing with mantras. Practicing impurity refers to engaging in sexual intercourse while relying on any of the three doors that have not deteriorated. Lying refers to directly claiming virtues that one does not possess. 21-644 Saying that one possesses Dharma that one does not actually have is directly heard by people. Ultimate killing refers to severing life, or before severing life, the thought of killing has not ceased. Taking what is not given refers to the arising of the thought of wanting to obtain. Practicing impurity refers to experiencing the pleasure of transferring from [a place]. Lying refers to what people understand as ultimate. If the basis, intention, and action are all complete, it becomes a transgression similar to a defeat for a Bhikshu, and even if each of the four root vows is violated, the vows will be destroyed as a result. Those incomplete limbs, the transgressions committed are only gross offenses, which only damage the vows but do not destroy them. Among the four: basis, intention, action, and ultimate, if the motivation is incomplete, because the intention is not afflicted, the offense is lighter. Even if it is not just a mistaken cognition, but the others are complete, because most of it is complete, the offense is heavier. If the three: basis, action, and ultimate are all complete, the severity of the offense will uncertainly arise in various ways. Bhikshus and Shramaneras, that is, ordained individuals, if they violate the four root precepts, if they have the intention to conceal {confess}, they cannot take vows again, and if the Shramanera does not have the intention to {confess}, it can be done up to three times.

It is said that one is born by taking them. It is said that one should not take more than that, because it is feared that it would be too extreme for those who have renounced the world. For lay practitioners and those observing the eight precepts, even if a concealing thought arises, it is said that they can take them again. Even if they are broken many times, it is permissible to take them again. The benefits of observing the eight precepts are: in this very life, the gods who protect the white side and the hosts of guardians will protect and help, and especially Indra and the Four Great Kings, etc., who are very pleased with the white side, and those great gods who protect the teachings, roam the Jambudvipa during auspicious times, and are very pleased with those who abide properly in the precepts, and protect them, and reside in those directions for a long time, so that the power and glory of those gods cause the inauspicious spirits to scatter, and the land (because of the change) becomes auspicious and happy. The intermediate benefit that arises in the next life is that one obtains a perfect body of a god who enjoys desires. Moreover, if one has a great faith in the Three Jewels and repeatedly (takes [took]), then among the gods one will be equal to the supreme Indra, and will be born in the heavens above the six desire realms, and there will also be rebirth as a human due to the residue of karma. By the merit of keeping the precepts of abiding in the ten virtues, wherever one is born, one will be long-lived, have a beautiful form, and have great wealth, etc., and will be perfectly endowed. The ultimate benefit (is): whatever Bodhi one aims at, one will attain that Bodhi. In particular, if one observes the precepts of the near-abiding according to the Mahayana tradition, not only will it (become [change]) a cause for perfect Bodhi, but even if one takes them according to the Hinayana tradition, because one takes refuge as a preliminary, and aims at the perfect Buddha, one will ultimately (become [change]) a collection for attaining perfect Buddhahood. Thus, after the Dharma of faith. Mindfulness. Of Mindfulness In the explanation of the Dharma, the first of the five points is to strive to protect one's mind with mindfulness. The advice is: strive to protect your mind, because stinginess, deceit, attachment, and
