From then until now, the wheel of dependent origination has been happening continuously without interruption, and later, if not overcome by antidotes, it will continue to happen without interruption until the end of samsara. The temporary dependent origination will be explained below. If related dependent origination is applied only to sentient beings, then actions and afflictions, as well as suffering, arise one from another and are interconnected. If applied to material phenomena, then sprouts arise from seeds, and seeds arise from sprouts, etc., which are causally related. If both the stable and the moving are applied in common, then the appearance of the world arises and is established from the actions and afflictions of sentient beings, and by relying on and focusing on the world, sentient beings accumulate actions and afflictions, so all containers and contents become related. Regarding related dependent origination, the Abhidharma of the Mahayana states that there are eight types. The nature of the twelve links is: ignorance has two types: ignorance that is ignorant of suchness and ignorance that is ignorant of actions and results. The first is ignorance due to not understanding the meaning of selflessness, which causes all non-virtuous and contaminated things to arise. Ignorance that is ignorant of actions and results is not knowing that happiness and suffering arise from virtuous and non-virtuous actions, which only causes non-virtuous things to arise. The nature of action is any of the three actions of body, speech, and mind. If divided, there are three types: meritorious action, non-meritorious action, and unwavering action. The first is the virtue of the desire realm, and the second is all non-virtue. The third is meditation and the formless, which is the action that attains the two upper realms, so it is virtuous, worldly, and Samahita-bhumi, possessing three characteristics. Unspecified actions [and] uncontaminated actions among virtuous actions do not become limbs of action. Consciousness has the consciousness of cause and the consciousness of effect, which is also the alaya consciousness, because it is the only continuum, so consciousness itself has no clarity or obscurity, and no great or small power, but consciousness has action.

From the time a seed is planted until death, the karmic imprints are unclear and weak, which is the cause. When the intermediate state and oneself unite, the karmic seeds mature, becoming powerful and clear. The condition of name and form: name refers to the four aggregates of name, namely the aggregates of feeling, formation, perception, and consciousness. When making others aware, only the name, which is invisible to the sense consciousness, can be used to indicate it. The aggregate of form refers to what can be directly shown to the eye consciousness and so on, and is therefore called form. Thus, the five aggregates are the condition of name and form. The six sense bases are the six from the eye sense base to the mind sense base. The condition of contact is that consciousness changes in dependence on the aggregation of object, sense faculty, and consciousness. That is, the six from the contact of the aggregation of the eye to the contact of the aggregation of the mind. The condition of feeling is the six from the feeling of the contact of the aggregation of the eye to the feeling of the contact of the aggregation of the mind, and each of these is further divided into eighteen by the distinction of experiencing feelings of pleasure, pain, and equanimity, any one of which it may be. The condition of craving arises from feeling, therefore, one craves happiness, not wanting to be separated from what one has, and craving for what one does not have to arise. One craves to be separated from suffering and for it not to arise again. One craves to abide in equanimity. The condition of grasping is the desire to seek the object of craving. There are desire grasping, ethical discipline and conduct grasping, view grasping, and self-assertion grasping. Desire grasping refers to the desire to seek out objects of desire out of craving. Ethical discipline and conduct grasping refers to the mere desire to adopt ethical discipline and asceticism in order to obtain the happiness of the aggregate body of the heavenly realms in the future. View grasping refers to the desire to obtain wealth, respect, and fame in this life, and the desire to hold onto evil views in order to obtain the happiness of the heavenly realms in the future. Self-assertion grasping refers to [destructive view
