And like kicking with feet and pushing with hands, and driving horses etc. with whips, hooking elephants etc. with iron hooks, like this, experiencing the suffering of various kinds of exploitation. Now, explaining the suffering of pretas. There are general and detailed explanations. First, the general explanation: Even in the realm of pretas, due to the lack of desires, the suffering that arises is continuous and cannot be changed. The suffering caused by hunger, thirst, cold, heat, fatigue, and fear is extremely unbearable and must be endured. Having been born in the place of pretas, one is impoverished by not finding the desired objects. The suffering that arises from the non-accomplishment of desired objects is that there is no interruption of happiness, and suffering arises continuously, a complete continuation of suffering. Moreover, it is the result of the maturation of the strong force of bad karma, so it cannot be changed, i.e., it cannot be remedied. Hunger, thirst, cold, heat, and wandering in all directions for a long time, such as twelve years, in order to find food and drink once, therefore feeling tired and weary. Fear is that there is also the fear of enemies among the pretas, and other beings also become enemies, suffering harm etc., the suffering caused by great fear is extremely unbearable and must be endured. The following is the detailed explanation. Explaining the suffering of the obstructed ones among the pretas: Some pretas have mouths as small as the eye of a needle, but their bellies are as big as a mountain, and they are afflicted by hunger. Even a little bit of discarded uncleanliness, they do not have the ability to seek and possess. Many of the obstructed ones among the pretas have mouths as small as the eye of a needle, but their mouths are wide, their throats are very thin, their bellies are as big as a mountain, their limbs are thin, and they feel unable to support their bodies. For them, good food is out of the question, even if they find a little bit of discarded, worthless uncleanliness, they cannot seek and eat it because they cannot pass through their mouths. Even if they pass through, they will fall out because their mouths are wide, and they cannot pass through their throats. Even if they happen to enter their stomachs, they cannot be filled immediately because their bellies are too big, so they are tormented by the great suffering of hunger. The sound of food and drink

Those with stillness {and}, the suffering of those with the wheel of flames is described as follows: Some are skin and bones, naked. Like the dry top of a palm tree. Some burn flames from their mouths, eating burning ashes and falling sand. Many hungry ghosts have no flesh on their bodies, leaving only skin and bones, {as} if withered, and because they lack clothes, they are naked, like the dry top of a palm tree carried by the sun. The color is gray and ugly, the body has no moisture, and the three hundred and sixty joints collide, the bones making a sound. Like striking a flint, flames emanate from the joints, burning the body. Also, every night flames burn from the mouth, and they eat the flow of sand falling into the mouth, because they are burned by the flames burning from the mouth, they have to eat it involuntarily due to karma. The sand burns the internal organs of the body, and they experience intense suffering. Showing the suffering of hungry ghosts with external obstacles: Some outcasts cannot even find pus and feces and blood and other impure things. They fight each other's faces and throats, searching for the pus in ripe boils. Most hungry ghosts are outcasts, becoming very weak. Good food is not to be mentioned, but even pus, feces, blood, etc. they have no chance of getting even a little bit of impure things from other places. These hungry ghosts fight each other out of hatred, hitting each other with fists. A little blood, etc. flowing from their own wounds on their faces, etc., and their own pus from ripe boils are also sought as food, that is, eaten. Showing the suffering of cold and heat is: For hungry ghosts in summer time. The moon is hot and the sun is cold in winter. These trees without fruit. Just looking at them will dry up the rivers. For hungry ghosts in the hot summer time, the moon and wind and rain, etc. also become accomplices of the heat, causing them pain. In the cold winter, the sun and fire, etc. {large} parts also become accomplices of the cold, causing the body to feel cold. This is not only an external obstacle but also happens to most hungry ghosts. Trees without fruit
