Wasting time gambling with dice and the like, hiding property to gamble, being very fond of lively scenes such as gatherings of many people, watching repeatedly, being lazy without interest in virtuous deeds, associating with evil friends and unwholesome spiritual friends who diminish virtue and increase evil, laziness and evil friends are the root of all evils, so they must be diligently abandoned. Walking around at night for the sake of drinking alcohol or stealing and adultery, these are the cause of being born in the lower realms, putting people in the category of evil people, generating a bad reputation, thereby damaging the perfect reputation, these must be diligently abandoned. The fifth point is to advise contentment with few desires, the opposite of which is insatiable greed and dissatisfaction, as it is said in the Abhidharmakosha: "Having obtained, still greedy, not knowing satisfaction, not having obtained, then greedy, great desire." The nature of these two is: both are the same, because they are not satisfied with bad utensils. Not having obtained perfect utensils and hoping to obtain them is insatiable greed, even if perfect utensils are obtained, still hoping to obtain more, this is dissatisfaction. The antidote to them is contentment with few desires, advising contentment is: Among all wealth, the contented, the teacher of gods and humans said is the most victorious, always be content, if you know contentment, even without wealth, you are rich. Among all wealth, the thought of contentment is the best wealth, the teacher of gods and humans, the perfectly enlightened Buddha, said this. King, you should always be content, if you are content in this way, even without perfect utensils, you can obtain true and excellent wealth. Wealth is an external utensil, while contentment is the mind's acceptance and rejection, if you ask if this is not wealth? If you are not content, then

Even if it becomes like the enjoyment of gods, there is no time to be satisfied and to have peace of mind. Even if there is no enjoyment of wealth, if one knows contentment, one will be satisfied and have peace of mind. Therefore, contentment is like the best wealth. Advice to reduce desires: How painful it is for the powerful to have a lot of wealth! Those with small desires are not like that. How many heads do the best of dragons have? As many as there are, so many sufferings arise from them. The powerful are the wise, and they are not licentious, but of pure lineage, gentle, and meticulous, and wise men who know the objects of knowledge. From these two, the king is identified as the wise one with the nature of wisdom, and is called the powerful. Having many possessions, first accumulating, then protecting, and finally separating, having these three sufferings, is very painful. Those with small desires who do not seek possessions do not experience such suffering, for example, the best of dragons, such as Snakes have from two to a thousand heads, and the better the dragon, the more heads it has. As many heads as there are, so many sufferings arise from them. The suffering of protecting each sense organ such as the eyes, and if one has not taken refuge in the Three Jewels and taken the five precepts, except for the dragon king who can live until the end of the kalpa, on each head of the others drips a mixture of sand and water. The more heads, the more suffering, and the more possessions, the more suffering. Therefore, one should always reduce desires. The sixth meaning is that the Bodhisattva on the path of accumulation, who is a householder, can control and is advised to abandon bad family life: A nature connected to the enemy, like an executioner; a family like a slave despised by the master; even stealing small things, like a thief. These three kinds of wives should be completely abandoned. Like an executioner, a nature connected to the enemy, harboring malice and harming oneself; like a master despising a slave.
