Just as one needs to protect something, because life is always regarded as the core of preciousness, it must be protected in many ways; similarly, one must also protect the mind from wavering towards the realm of afflictions. To be cautious by knowing the faults of desires, this is summarized: Like poisonous snakes, poisons, sharp weapons, and enemies, and like flames, one should develop a sense of revulsion towards the pleasure of desires. The fault of being attached to desires and causing mental afflictions is: just as being bitten by a poisonous snake, the venom will spread throughout the body; just as a small amount of poison can take a life; just as touching a sharp sword can cause wounds and cuts; just as an enemy seizes the opportunity to harm; just as a small fire can gradually burn down things that are not guarded. The pleasure of desires is similar to this, knowing that attachment to desires is the nature of faults, thereby generating revulsion towards them. Speaking of the faults of desires: Desires are the source of many calamities, the King of Victors said it is like the Kimpa fruit. Desires are the root of many calamities, therefore, the King of Victors, the Buddha, said that like the fruit of the Kimpa tree, although the shape and color are beautiful, it has toxicity, although it seems pleasant temporarily, it is accompanied by faults, so it is not a place of attachment. Revealing the necessary reason for not being attached to desires: They should be cut off, because their iron chains bind these sentient beings in the prison of samsara. Attachment to desires should be cut off, because the iron chains of attachment to desires tightly bind these worldly sentient beings, making them unable to escape from the prison of suffering in samsara. Therefore, one must cut off the iron chains of attachment to desires, thereby escaping from the prison of samsara. Showing that cutting off attachment to desires is a great warrior: Those who can always control the six senses in the six realms, not allowing them to waver. Compared to those who defeat enemy troops on the battlefield, the wise consider the former to be the greatest warriors. Those who can always control the consciousness of the six senses, not allowing them to be moved by the six realms, and who subdue them with the power of cautious antidotes,

In reality, the senses are material, so they do not move to the object. Even the entering consciousness is non-conceptual, so it does not move to the object. However, the conceptualization that follows the sensory consciousness moves to the object. Therefore, it gives rise to all afflictions such as greed and hatred. Therefore, from the eye's sensory consciousness and its subsequent conceptualization moving to the object form, until the mind's sensory consciousness and its subsequent conceptualization moving to the object dharma realm, these six sensory consciousnesses and their subsequent conceptualizations, unstably move to their respective objects. The {enemy [enemy's] host being destroyed and conquered by relatives and friends is a hero. On the battlefield, one person destroying the enemy's army and conquering the enemy is also a hero. Among these two, the wise ones are those who conquer the conceptualization that moves to the object, and destroying the enemy host with the inner mind is the most heroic {and} supreme.} Abandoning attachment to women: A young woman's body is separate, foul-smelling, with nine openings, like a container filled with impurities, difficult to fill, covered with skin, even if decorated, look at it differently. If you think that a young woman's body is pleasing and worthy of attachment, it is not. If you separate and analyze it from another perspective, the inside of the body is filled with foul-smelling impurities, the nine openings drip with filth, and various impurities such as blood, pus, and internal organs are like a container. Moreover, it is not as easy to raise as an animal, but must be fed with food {wealth [clothes] valuables}, so it is difficult to fill. Therefore, it is covered with skin from the outside so that it is not seen, and even if it is decorated beautifully, if you look at it from another perspective with your mind, it is unpleasant in nature, so you should not be attached to it. Since desire is endless, craving must be stopped {stop [hinder] must be stopped}: Just as a leper is infested with worms, even if he relies on fire for pleasure, he will not be calmed. Know that attachment to desires is also like that. The skin of a person afflicted with leprosy
