No. The outer eight places refer to the inner boundary of the iron fence. The saying "beyond eighty thousand yojanas to the south" also refers to this. The central abode of Yama is the hollow underground of Mount Meru. Furthermore, if divided into upper and lower levels, the summit and the base of Mount Meru are also identified as abodes. If categorized in many ways, that is how it is. If summarized into one main place, from the perspective of Yama's direction, Yama himself in the south is the main one, so everything is included there. If considered from the general perspective of prideful beings, the one in the center is the main one. In general, all male lineages of wrathful mantras' prideful beings are included in Yama and Rakshasas, and all female lineages are included in Matri and Dakinis. The Dharma cycles of Black Mahakala (Mgonpo Nagpo) are also mostly related to Rakshasas, related to Ishvara, and also have many connections with general prideful beings. Generally, that is how it is, but during practice, whichever deity's sadhana one engages in, that deity must be the main one at that time. Therefore, there should be no biased attachment to the main deity and retinue. The saying "gods take turns being masters, servants take turns being servants" in the village vernacular can also be acceptable from a certain perspective. From these contents, the combined practice, which is the core of practice, has been explained. If practicing alone, the difference lies in: there are some differences starting from the close retreat. The root retreat is best done with combined practice, and only this is good, the root retreat of solitary practice is not good. From then on, if practicing a solitary male deity, the thangka should also depict a solitary father deity. Generating the deity, mantra recitation, and offering tormas should also abandon the aspects related to the mother deity. During practice, if there is a skull cup, either draw the mandala of the father deity on the skull cup itself, or combine a separately drawn mandala with the skull cup, whichever is convenient. It is not necessary to fill the skull cup with filthy substances. Appropriately draw a lingam inside the skull cup, or place the fish-shaped object inserted into the heart, face up on a wooden frame, and fix it with a samaya seal so that it does not move. Then cover it with a mother skull, with the image of Yama on top. It is essential to create a vent hole at the top.

Skull If it is a conjoined skull, then draw a wheel on the upper skull or conjoin it. At that time, it actually becomes conjoined with the lower skull. The mantra is also the same, so if the same drawing method is used from the beginning, then here it goes left and right, so the bottom one goes clockwise and the top one goes counterclockwise. Some people think that there is also a custom of creating a tunnel in the upper Brahma hole for the conjoined skull, but this is very bad because it damages the wheel. In general, it will also damage the skull, so it seems a little bad to do so. From then on, in all cases of practice and karma, only the female part is abandoned. Similarly, even if you practice only the female deity, the painted image is also only of the female deity. When opening the face during practice, only the female deity's wheel is drawn on the upper skull. On the side of the lower skull, the naturally arising form of Yama should be clarified as the form of Yamamo. The mantra is, write "ཉེ་སྙིང་(Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, meaning)" on the forehead, and write "མ་མ་རཀྵ་ཡཀྵ་ཧཱུཾ་ཛ་ཧཱུཾ། (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, meaning) ཡ་མ་རཱ་ཛ་ཎྲྀ་ཛ་ཛ་(Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, meaning)" on the front of the face. (Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, meaning)" on the edge is special. Even if it is a conjoined skull, draw a wheel or conjoin it, the lower wheel goes counterclockwise, and the upper wheel goes clockwise. In the case of karma, only Tsamundi is built. The remaining rituals are only abandoning the father's part. For these two single practices, the mantras for day and night must also be male and female separately, and it is not necessary to divide them in half and recite them. Recite the माला मंत्र(Tibetan, Devanagari, Roman transliteration, meaning) as in the case of close practice. The reason for this is that the work of collecting and distributing requires the male to drive the female, and the female to drive the male, but not for others. Similarly, in single practice, there is only one wheel, which is only used when opening the face. The reason why it is necessary to go clockwise and counterclockwise when making a conjoined skull is that the nature of the mantras of the two wheels is the same, and it is necessary to think of them as the same deity in visualization, and each letter must be aligned up and down. Otherwise, the mantras will be confused and will not be accomplished as they are. For example, if you put the bones of the left hand into the flesh of the right arm, the joints will not align. The wheel of mantra practice
