With the mantra of the letter "pa," all actions are accomplished. This is the fourth contemplation discernment from the Tantra of the Yoga of Great Vajrabhairava, the Supreme Manjushri. ༄༅། Fifth, the discernment of the ritual for painting images. Now, I will explain the supreme secret painting of the image of the glorious Great Vajrabhairava. Use the cloth of a hero, or the cloth spread in a field, or the cloth with flowers, or the cloth that easily fades, or the cloth from which a child has been born. If these are not found, then take any other cloth. Here, one should not be stingy with any objects, one should not have discrimination, one should not be angry, one should be pure, skilled, upright, endowed with self-nature, loving, and free from worldliness. Thus, endowed with qualities, it should be painted by the hand of one who is extremely skilled in drawing. If one desires accomplishment, one should offer the wealth of a hero. The ritual for this is: residing in a secret place, one should paint with extreme concentration. It should be seen by the painter and the practitioner, and should not be seen by other worldly people. Paint a thangka with sixteen legs, thirty-four arms, nine faces, naked and black in color, with the left leg extended, having the appearance of making even great terror terrified, and with the male organ erect. The first face is a buffalo. On the right horn are three faces: blue, red, and yellow, which should be painted as very wrathful. On the left are white, smoke-colored, and black. In the middle of these two faces, paint a very red face. Above that, paint the yellow face of Manjushri, slightly wrathful. In the right hands are held a vajra chopper, a single-pointed weapon, a mallet, a water knife, a single-pointed vajra, an axe, a spear, an arrow, an iron hook, a club, a khatvanga, a wheel, a vajra, a vajra hammer, a sword, and a cymbal. In the left hands are held a skull cup, a head, a shield, a leg, a lasso, a bow, intestines, a bell, a hand, a shroud, a person impaled on a sharp wooden stake, a hearth, a skull bowl, a threatening mudra, a trident, and a cloth moved by the wind. The two hands hold the wet skin of an elephant. The right foot steps on a person and
