Furthermore, although there are many different ways of explaining both, those related to this lineage include the thirty-three practice stages that arise from the Ocean-Born (Padmasambhava)'s ritual, the seven practice stages that arise from the teachings of the Three Purities, and the seventeen practice stages in the uncommon ritual of Virupa, making a total of three rituals. Second, training in pride: Generally, one should train in thinking that one is the actual Bhagavan Hevajra Heyvajra), and specifically, one should train in each part of body, speech, mind, qualities, and activities. That is, the eight faces that one meditates on are the nature of the wisdom inseparable from the mind of Hevajra, the wisdom of the eight liberations, and so on, all of which should be practiced separately. Therefore, one should train in the deity's form as an antidote to ordinary appearances, and in the deity's pride as an antidote to ordinary clinging. By meditating on these two paths, when the clear appearance is obtained, the appearance of the truth of suffering will cease, and samsara will be abandoned. As the teacher Buddha Yeshe Zhap said: "Apart from this continuum of ordinary conceptual thought, there is no other suffering in existence. The mind that is contrary to it will realize it directly. It has a profound and vast nature, and it does not generate any conceptual thoughts." Furthermore, the reason why liberation is attained by meditating on the deity's form and devotion is because it possesses the four means of the path. Although the four paths have already been explained in the chapter on actualizing enlightenment, here, in order to apply them to the general generation stage, they are explained generally as follows: taking the result as the path, taking the form as the path, taking devotion as the path, and taking blessings as the path, there are four. The first is taking the result as the path: in the visualization of the generation stage, by being devoted to and clinging to the body, speech, mind, and activities of the result, the Buddha, one will obtain it, just as one obtains a jewel by clinging to the light of a jewel. The second is taking the form as the path: by bringing to mind the form of the body, speech, and mind of the Buddha, one will obtain them, for example, some meditators bring to mind the form of fire and obtain the samadhi of exhausting fire.

Just as from obtaining realization, one can transform the realm of demons into flames. Third, the mandala meditated upon in this way, the Tathagatas, with complete faith in the actual mandala, will attain it, just as Shariputra, with faith in the hellish place as a lotus garden, actually transformed it into a lotus garden. Fourth, by meditating in this way, the supreme deity bestows blessings, and one is liberated by its power. The means of blessing, as spoken by the Buddha, is that merely by the blessing of the yidam deity, excellent samadhi arises, and the realization of the bhumis and paths arises in the continuum, ultimately becoming a Buddha, just as the heavy body is transformed into gold by blessing it. Thus, these four path practices are complete in all the main points of visualization in all generation stages, and all yogis of the generation stage, from the beginning of entering, up to the point of holding the mind on the deity's form, must possess both the practice of the deity's form and the practice of pride. Both must be complete, and both are of the nature of vastness and clarity. When these are grasped by the view of realizing emptiness, it is also a profound yoga, therefore it is the practice of profundity and vastness, or the inseparability of profundity and clarity. The Completion Stage Arising Incidentally. Second is the completion stage. The basis upon which the vital point is struck is the four mandalas, or abiding as the channels, moving as the winds, and arranging as the bodhicitta, these three are renowned. The detailed system of the completion stage related to the three higher empowerments must be determined in detail, but it should be understood in detail elsewhere. At this time, the gathering of the mandala or the final gathering of the recitation is also acceptable, it is pure mindfulness, and since recitation is a subsequent action, there is no necessity to clearly establish the complete wheel of the mandala, and it is also very good to meditate and recite in the state of the complete wheel of the mandala being clearly manifest. The Yoga of the Subsequent Action Path. Second, the yoga of non-absorption, there is pure mindfulness, the yoga of recitation, the yoga of torma, the yoga of food, the yoga of conduct.
