There are two stages: the generation stage and the completion stage. The first, when divided, has three samadhis, four stages of approach and accomplishment, and six stages of realization. The second, the completion stage, when divided, has self-blessing and mandala. The third is the meaning of the words: Holy Circumambulator. According to some, the meaning of generation is birth, the meaning of completion is death, and the stage is considered to be the purification of these two. Some Kalachakra schools consider the meaning of generation to be common accomplishment, the meaning of completion to be supreme accomplishment, and the stage to be the path that manifests these two. However, the view of the teacher, the lord of yoga, Virupa and his sons, is that the meaning of generation is the deity body generated by the effort of mental discrimination, and completion is the perfection of body, speech, and mind. Its meaning is also that the body's channels, the speech's winds and letters, and the mind's bindus are meditated upon as being perfected in the same way they abide in the body. Therefore, it is in accordance with what is said elsewhere as the stage of complete accomplishment. The fourth is that because there are definitely two to be abandoned, because there are definitely two to be attained, and because the essence is the dependent and the depended upon, the generation and completion are definitely two. The first is, as it says in the Vajra Tent, "In order to destroy the ordinary state, the practice is truly proclaimed. From the practice of the natural state, it is neither practice nor non-practice." As it says, in order to destroy ordinary discrimination, one practices the generation stage, and in order to destroy the discrimination of arrogance and divine pride, one practices the completion stage. If ordinary discrimination is divided, there are two types: causal karma and afflictions, and the result of clinging to self and what belongs to self. The first is purified by the two methods of accumulating merit, and the second has two methods of purifying the container and its contents. The container world is the celestial palace, and the unique realization of the celestial hero also purifies the seat of the deity. The method of purifying the contents involves purifying the four birthplaces of the generation method, and purifying the three poisons with the form of the deity. The first, the method of purifying the four birthplaces of the generation method, is the purification of the warmth and moisture born from the five manifestations of enlightenment, and the assembly of deities from within the sky.

With joy, one tames the womb-born; arising from a mass of light, one tames the egg-born with the three-fold generation ritual of the Vajra; with the yoga of instantaneous generation, one tames the miraculously born. Secondly, in general, the deities are gathered into three: peaceful, wrathful, and a mixture of wrath and desire. One tames desire with the aspect of desire, one tames hatred with the aspect of extreme wrath, one tames delusion with the aspect of extreme peace, and with the mixture of wrath and desire, one tames the three poisons. That is, dwelling among a retinue of consorts tames desire, dwelling in great wrath tames hatred, and possessing marks and signs tames delusion. Therefore, leaning towards only peace or wrath is not very profound, while the mixture of wrath and desire is extremely profound. Secondly, in order to destroy the conceptual thoughts of attachment to extraordinary deities, one practices the Completion Stage. As it is said in the Root Tantra: "The yogi of the Generation Stage, cultivates elaboration, treats elaboration as a dream, elaboration itself is non-elaboration." In the stage of the Generation Stage, by mixing with the view of emptiness, the conceptual thoughts of attachment to extraordinary deities may be slightly suppressed, but in order to completely eradicate subtle conceptual thoughts such as attachment to extraordinary deities, it is necessary to practice the Completion Stage. Secondly, in order to ascertain the two fruits to be obtained, it is ascertained as two: the Generation Stage and the Completion Stage. In general, both the Generation Stage and the Completion Stage are methods for accomplishing the four Kayas and five wisdoms, but mainly, in order to accomplish the Rupakaya, it is necessary to practice the Generation Stage. As it is said in the Vajra Tent Tantra: "With the yoga of Buddha-pride, one will accomplish the Buddha-body, the teacher possesses thirty-two marks, the main deity possesses eighty minor marks." Mainly, in order to accomplish the Dharmakaya, it is necessary to practice the Completion Stage. As it is said in the Sambuta Tantra: "This self-born nature itself, is well-known as the Dharmakaya." Thirdly, for the sake of the essence, the support, and the supported, it is certain that there are two: the Generation Stage and the Completion Stage. As it is said in the Root Tantra: A

Ema, great Bodhisattva! Completely subdued by the power of faith. From what does the insubstantiality of the body bring happiness? It is impossible to describe the joy. In the manner of pervading and being pervaded, happiness pervades all beings. Just as the fragrance resides in the flower, the insubstantiality of the flower cannot be known. Similarly, because form and so on are insubstantial, happiness itself cannot be perceived. As it is said, like the flower and the fragrance of the flower, the deity body attained through the practice of the generation stage is the dharma of the body, and the great bliss of wisdom in the completion stage is the dharma of the mind. The two exist as the support and the supported. 21-216 Fifth, regarding the order. Some noble ones believe that after the generation stage is stabilized, the completion stage should be practiced. Some commentaries on the mind believe that whether the generation stage is stable or not, it should be practiced for twelve years, and then the completion stage should be practiced again. Furthermore, some teachers believe that the completion stage should be imprinted on the generation stage and then practiced. Although there are many different views, the view of this lineage is that on one seat, the generation stage is practiced in the morning session, and the completion stage is practiced in the afternoon session. Sixth, regarding the justification for liberation. Liberation is justified because it is of the lineage or cause, because it is embraced by special means, and because it is of the nature of the three purities. First, the All Secret Tantra says: Plant the fruit on the cause, and plant the cause on the fruit. The Root Tantra also says: Having the form of face, hands, and so on, supremely blissful and radiant, likewise, all beings are born together. As it is said, just as the appearance of the mind, the appearance of hands and so on is the cause. Because of practicing the deity body of the generation stage, one will obtain the lineage of its increase, so it is reasonable to practice for the purpose of accomplishing the Form Body. The nature of the mind abiding in the wisdom of indivisible bliss and emptiness is the cause, and because of practicing the bliss and emptiness of the completion stage, one will obtain the lineage of its increase, so it is reasonable to accomplish the Dharma Body. Second, because it is embraced by special means. The justification for liberation is that both stages are of the nature of the four great antidotes.
