The protectors of the world, the noble beings, rejoice and delight there from time to time, and countless immaculate young Asura maidens and fierce and cruel daughters of the Nagas make offerings there. In addition, there are many powerful and suffering pretas belonging to that place. If the practitioner arrives there, he should offer various kinds of food, such as roots, fruits, coconuts, meat, and fish. If it is not possible to prepare them, then do it all with the mind. There, the practitioner should not be attached to those women, nor should they like songs and music. Otherwise, one should go begging for alms. On the other side, there is a great river flowing from east to west, with turbulent waves, making it very difficult to cross. The name of that river is Satvalotana. There, there are fish of various colors, and also faces of various shapes, such as tigers, lions, vultures, cows, monkeys, parrots, geese, and human faces, etc. At certain times in that river, there are banyan trees growing from stones, with branches spreading to the opposite bank. The practitioner should cross by relying on that tree. Or, one should cross by relying on the strength of the fish. Near that side, there are many small red mountains called Lohita. On those mountains, red rice, mung beans, and Manrubas grow without being cultivated.
