In Lhasa, tea and salt were distributed to the four districts, etc. If one were to describe in detail how Lhasa was given during this restoration, it would not be completed even in many days. In this present age, people amass great wealth through all sorts of evil means, such as secret mantras, deception, and pretense, and lead themselves and others to the path of recklessness, making a living through wrong livelihood. They please evil kings who are not fields of merit by extending their hands and gather them to their side, and due to stinginess, they do not give or use, but hoard and dwell in miserliness. Some entrust all their abundant wealth to fierce and unruly demons, and pray to them from the depths of their hearts for the sake of their own prosperity. The demons, taking these as payment, stir up the minds of those with little merit and draw them to their side, taking only this as the essence. They greatly condemn those who are devoted to wrong livelihood. This immediately pacifies all obstacles to the activities of our noble Lama, causing the dual system of the glorious Taglung Kagyu to flourish like the waxing moon. At that time, appropriately, the wondrous Gandhola, personally crafted by Nagarjuna, was perfectly made with a fragrant chamber carved from white sandalwood, and the image of Shakyamuni Buddha, the heart essence of Acharya Chandrakirti, that unparalleled and supremely excellent image, was placed inside. This image remains inseparable from the Guru and serves as an object of worship to this day. Immediately upon returning from Sog-yul, a large offering was bestowed upon the entire Sangha of Taglung as a contribution to the restoration of the monastery. From this, it can be seen
