Now that this precious human body, so difficult to obtain, has been obtained once, it seems that something important should be accomplished. If you want the perfect happiness of samsara from life to life, you can effortlessly accomplish it by relying on this human body. If you want to be liberated from samsara and attain the enlightenment of a Shravaka or Pratyekabuddha, there is not much difficulty this time. If you want to attain unsurpassed enlightenment, then in this opportunity it is easier to do and easier to practice. If you do not obtain such a human body, let alone liberation and Buddhahood, you will not be able to accomplish even the perfect happiness of samsara, so now you must meditate that you must take the essence from your own human body. Similarly, if this once-obtained human body becomes meaningless, it would be a great pity. As it is said in the Bodhicharyavatara: 'Having obtained such leisure, if I do not practice virtue, there is no other deception than this, and there is no other foolishness than this.' As it is said, deceiving oneself is too serious, like going to a treasure island and returning empty-handed. When one obtains a special basis that can accomplish any special wish, it seems to be one's own fault if one does nothing and becomes meaningless. So much has been wasted in the past, but now, starting from today, one must strive to practice the Dharma and not spend it meaninglessly, one must think again and again. Also, if you feel that you cannot let go of the happiness and activities of this life, then in the world, if you want to have lasting happiness, you should not only care about the comfort of a few days or months, but you must strive to achieve long-term happiness. Similarly, in order to achieve happiness in life after life, do not be attached to the affairs of this life, but strive to practice the Dharma. These are because, as it is said, 'This leisure and opportunity is very difficult to obtain, and having obtained the meaning of accomplishment, if you do not accomplish benefit in this, how will this be perfected later?' Thinking that the human body is difficult to obtain and that obtaining the human body has meaning is the fourth point of contemplation. Thinking about death and impermanence. Second, thinking about death and impermanence is divided into three parts. First, thinking about the certainty of imminent death: The sutra says: What happened in the past and what will happen in the future.

are so many. Everyone gives up this body and departs, and the wise should realize that all of them will perish. One should definitely abide in the Dharma and practice diligently. As it is said, wherever one dwells, one cannot escape death. Even when accompanied by friends, one cannot escape death. All beings that have appeared on this earth in the past have died. All beings that will appear in the future will also die. None of those who are actually present now can escape death. Since I was born until today, how many of my relatives and friends have died, and how many enemies have died? They have died, and I have no confidence that they will stay with me. In short, there is no choice but to die, and no one can add time to life. Time does not stop for even a moment, but constantly diminishes life. Therefore, with each passing moment, one gets closer to death. With each passing day, one gets even closer. With each passing month, one gets even closer. With each passing year, one gets even closer. Therefore, death comes quickly. If I need to practice the Dharma, and I think that it is okay to do it gradually when I get old, I am afraid that there is no such leisure in this short life. For example, before the age of sixty, when I was young, I passed away without practicing the Dharma. When I get old, even if I want to practice, my body and mind are exhausted, and I cannot improve. Half of the remaining time is spent in sleep. In addition, I am controlled by various meaningless things such as food and clothing, walking and sitting, and distractions. Even if I can generate strong intention and diligence, the time actually spent practicing the Dharma will not be too long. If I want to quickly realize the Dharma that the saints have realized after a long time of effort, I should think that in this short life, I must not delay the Dharma, be lazy, or interrupt it. It is very important to think about the reasons in this way and meditate repeatedly. The fifth point of mind training ends. Second point, thinking that there is no certainty when death will come. Not only is our lifespan generally short, but there is also no certainty when death will come. If fate is good, one may live to be sixty or seventy years old, but most of us do not live that long. Even if we can live that long,
