Now, analyzing from the top of the head downwards, it will be divided into nine parts. If you think each part is truly existent, that is not true. Because each part will be divided into three parts, and so on. If you think each part is truly existent, that is not true. Because each part will be further divided into the size of a finger joint. If you think each finger joint-sized part is truly existent, that is not true. Because each part will be further divided into seven barleycorns in size. If you think each barleycorn-sized part is truly existent, that is also not true. Because each part will eventually be divided into seven louse-sized parts, then mites, sunbeam dust, cow hair dust, sheep wool dust, rabbit hair dust, water dust, and iron dust. By continuously dividing the size of the previous dust by seven, it will become the size of the subsequent dust. If you think each iron dust is truly existent, that is not true. Because each iron dust's size contains seven micro-dusts. If you think each micro-dust is truly existent, that is also not true. Because each micro-dust contains seven extremely minute dusts. If you add up all these sevenfold dimensions, including length, width, and height, then after the previous dust is broken down, the number of subsequent dusts is three hundred and forty-three. Because there are seven in length, and the same in width, it becomes forty-nine, and there are also seven in height. This is the fifty-fifth point of contemplation. If you think each extremely minute dust is truly existent, that is not true. Because each extremely minute dust will manifest one direction, and the parts for looking up and down, a total of six parts. And there must be a central part, because without a central part, it is impossible to observe directions such as east and west. Therefore, if each of these seven parts is similarly divided, then it is also not true. Dividing in this way infinitely, there is no end. Therefore, the so-called body is merely a conceptual imputation, and in reality, it is not existent. Therefore, the appearance itself does not cease, like an illusion. Self-nature has never been established anywhere from the beginning. If these things are like this, they cannot be established as one. Because it cannot be established as one, it cannot be established as many either. Because many must be established from the accumulation of many things that are established as one. This is the fifty-sixth point of contemplation. Then, if the physical form is not true, is it true in the mind? If you analyze the mind, then seeing forms, hearing sounds, etc., are mainly various consciousnesses. The eight consciousnesses exist separately, therefore, the collection of consciousnesses also breaks down into many parts and disappears. Experiencing pleasure, pain, equanimity, etc., exists in feeling, but feeling is also not singularly established.

E. High and Low To hold various names and meanings of good and bad, etc., is consciousness. However, it cannot be grasped as one. Furthermore, there are various different thoughts such as desire, hatred, faith, etc., which are combined and called formation. The so-called mind is not established as one. Since one is not established, many are also not established. Meditate like this. The fifty-seventh session. Now, all the categories of knowing are just transformations of this awake and vivid state, and there is no independent entity apart from that. For example, it is like the reflection of mountains and rocks in water. Looking at this awake and vivid awareness, the past mind has ceased and is gone, and the future mind has not yet arisen and is gone. Even the present awareness, though momentary, has no inherent truth. Even in that single moment, there is a part that arises in connection with the previous moment, a part that ceases in connection with the following moment, and a part that remains in the middle, scattered into fragments. If you look at the middle part, there are three parts, etc., and if you investigate endlessly, you will reach the infinite, and nothing will be established as a single entity. Since one is not established, many are not established either, 18-276 as above. The fifty-eighth session. Thus, the aggregates of one's own continuum have been determined to be unreal. Now, just as the five aggregates included in one's own body and mind have been determined to be unreal, so too are the body and mind, the five aggregates, of all sentient beings the same. In particular, focus on an object where intense afflictions arise, such as hatred for an enemy or love for a friend. Just as you examine your own body, examine their body as well. Just as you examine the aggregates of your own mind's name and basis, examine their mind as well. Thus, the so-called so-and-so person is merely a conceptual designation, a reversed grasping of this and that sentient being. In reality, it is not established anywhere, like an illusion. Practice like this. Apply this reasoning to everything and meditate. This is called meditating on the emptiness of all sentient beings and environments. The fifty-ninth session. Furthermore, not only sentient beings, but also the external environment is not real. When the three thousand worlds are destroyed and become empty, as well as the empty general envelope, continents...
