It is the source and land of existence (in the twelve links of dependent origination). When it only possesses neutral feeling, it is called the suffering of formation. If one cannot be liberated from this, one cannot be liberated from the other two, therefore, one must by all means strive to be liberated from the three sufferings, thus meditate. The twenty-ninth object of focus. Now, as mentioned above, birth is suffering, aging is suffering, sickness is suffering, death is suffering, encountering the unpleasant is suffering, separation from the pleasant is suffering, not obtaining what one desires is suffering, and in short, the eighth suffering is that the five aggregates of grasping are all suffering, which is suffering in five ways: it becomes a vessel of manifest suffering, and it cultivates the suffering of future lives and beyond. The vessel of suffering that depends on manifest achievement is that, depending on the aggregates themselves being achieved, birth, aging, sickness, death, and all other things can occur. The two called the vessel of the suffering of suffering and the vessel of the suffering of change arise depending on the aggregates. Becoming the nature of the suffering of formation is to know that the aggregates themselves are the suffering of formation, and that all of samsara in the three realms is the nature of the eight sufferings, thus meditate. Thinking about the eight sufferings, the thirtieth object of focus. In this samsara, there are other categories of suffering. First, the fault of suffering due to impermanence is that enemies, friends, parents, children, places, bodies, and enjoyments all go only to uncertainty. As it is said: "The father is the son, the mother is the wife." And so on. Second, the fault of not knowing satisfaction is that no matter how much one enjoys desirable qualities, one is not satisfied, and no matter how much suffering one experiences, one does not become weary. Each one exceeds the four great oceans. And so on, can be compared. Third, the fault of repeatedly abandoning the body is that one must repeatedly experience death, each one's own heap of bones, and so on. Fourth, the fault of repeatedly taking rebirth is that one must take endless rebirths, the end of the mother is as big as a juniper stump, and so on. Fifth, the fault of repeatedly changing between high and low is to become Indra.

Even if one becomes Ishvara, one will fall to the ground. Even if one becomes a Chakravartin king, one will be born as the lowest of slaves. In this very life, there is not even the slightest reliance on anything, whether it is happiness or suffering, high or low, prosperity or decline. As it is said, "Even if one becomes Indra, worthy of offerings in the world," and so on. Sixth, the fault of suffering from being alone without companions is: when born, one is born alone; when dying, one dies alone; aging and sickness are also experienced alone; when wandering in the bardo, one must also go alone. Then all friends, relatives, and loved ones are meaningless. Having erred in this way, one should kindle the light of the three lamps. The solitary moon is not deceived by the sun, and one will enter into endless darkness. This saying should also be applied. Thus, all of samsara suffers from the nature of the six sufferings. Even if born at the peak of existence, there is no difficulty in going to the edge of the Avici hell. Suffering is only continuously prolonged. It is like being trapped in a burning house, like a merchant trapped on an island of rakshasas, like a nomad wandering lost in a desolate place. In any case, one should constantly think of quickly escaping from this. Focusing on the six sufferings is the thirty-first contemplation. Thinking about the Cause - the Truth of Origin Second, thinking about the cause - the truth of origin is: Well then, this samsara, which is so extremely painful, is not without cause or condition. Cutting off the cause is necessary to stop samsara. So, what is the cause? All sufferings arise from accumulated karma. All these karmas must first be accomplished by afflictions. If there are no afflictions, then later karma will not produce results, so the root lies in afflictions. The root cause of myself and sentient beings wandering in samsara is affliction. Afflictions also have six types: desire, anger, pride, ignorance, wrong views, and doubt. Although there are many classifications such as the nine pervasive ones, all roots are condensed into the three poisons of desire, hatred, and ignorance. Although there are very many kinds of karma, the karmas that throw us into samsara can be summarized into three. Non-meritorious karma, which is called sin, is
