From consciousness to the Buddhadharma, these are the Buddhadharma that has been completely examined. The objects of conditioned characteristics, for those objects, the distinctions that exist only in the nature of discrimination, relying on discrimination to explicitly state what is name, concept, symbol, designation, and conventional form. From feeling, concept, formation, and consciousness to the Buddhadharma, whatever is said, that is the discriminated form. This is the discriminated feeling, the discriminated concept, the discriminated formation, the discriminated consciousness, up to the discriminated Buddhadharma. Whether the Tathagatas appear or not, the realm of the nature of Dharma and the abiding nature of Dharma, these are the abiding nature. What is the examined form, by which the discriminated form is constant and at the time of constancy, stable and at the time of stability, without self-nature and without Dharma-self, and what is Suchness and the true limit, this is the form of Dharma-nature. This is the feeling of Dharma-nature, concept, formation, and consciousness, up to these are the Buddhadharma of Dharma-nature. After thus speaking, Bodhisattva Maitreya addressed the Bhagavan thus: Bhagavan, among these three forms, which form should be viewed as without substance, which is with substance, which is neither with substance nor without substance, but is distinguished by the ultimate truth? Bhagavan, these three feelings, these three concepts, these three formations, these three consciousnesses, up to these three Buddhadharmas, which Buddhadharma should be viewed as without substance, which should be viewed as with substance, which should be viewed as neither without substance nor with substance, but is distinguished by the ultimate truth? After thus addressing, the Bhagavan said to Bodhisattva Maitreya: Maitreya, what is the completely examined form, that should be viewed as without substance. Discrimination

Whatever is the form of destruction, since it has discrimination as an existing substance, it is not permissible to arbitrarily cling to it as existing. Whatever is the form of the nature of reality, it is neither non-existent nor existent, but should be regarded as being distinguished by ultimate truth. Thus it is said. Regarding the occasion of "temporarily severing the lineage," the Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita Sutra states: Shariputra, it should be known that such individuals are slanderers of the Dharma. Shariputra, such individuals are like rotten wood. Shariputra, it should be known that such individuals are of a black nature. Thus it is said. "Temporarily, it is also permissible to speak of the self-emptiness of the three vehicles," which means that both the Vaibhashika and Sautrantika schools consider the three vehicles to be ultimate. Many Mahayana Madhyamikas and Yogacaras who are not followers of Nagarjuna and Asanga, without distinguishing between temporary and ultimate, believe that there is only one vehicle. However, the Svatantrika and Prasangika teachers do not deny that there are temporarily three vehicles. The second chapter, the Hundredfold Giving Chapter, of the Holy Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita Sutra states: Those who have entered into the truly certain state do not have the fortune to generate the unsurpassed perfect Bodhicitta. Why is that? Because they have cut off the continuity of samsara, they will repeatedly transmigrate and do not have the fortune to generate the unsurpassed perfect Bodhicitta. Thus it is said. It is also mentioned in the Hundred Thousand Verse, Twenty-five Thousand Verse, and Eight Thousand Verse Prajnaparamita Sutras, which is the sutra concerning the occasion of "determining the object." Therefore, the one-sided view of tending towards peace is also clear in the Prajnaparamita Sutra. Similar words are also spoken in the Maitreya Inquiry Chapter. That is, in that sutra it says: Lord, what is the reason? Are all the Shravakas one-sided, or do they abide in peaceful Nirvana? The Lord replied: Maitreya, it is not so. Why is that? Maitreya, these worldly beings have various faculties, they have many faculties. For these worldly beings with different faculties, there are very many species and natures of sentient beings. Maitreya, the species and lineage of sentient beings from the beginning seek good distinctions, and the good distinctions themselves
