Therefore, to be free from it, it is written as "it does not exist." It is desired to generate the subsequent wisdom of intellect. However, this method is to show the meaning. If the meaning is established, then there is no difference in words. Two or five branches can be combined as desired. Preventing self-nature is the root of reason. Preventing difference is the four extremes of arising and ceasing. All phenomena are unborn, because self and others are not born. Eyes and so on do not arise from self, because they exist, and the phenomenon of arising depends on other conditions. If I create, then the creator has not arisen, because it does not exist, how can it create? If oneself is established, there is no need for a producer. If it is not established, how can it produce? It is not produced from others, because it depends on the seed. If it does not depend on it, then cause and non-cause become the same, because there is no need to benefit the seed. If it arises from others after being destroyed, it becomes causeless. If it arises from what has not been destroyed, it is simultaneous and mutual. Apart from what has ceased and what has not ceased, what is ceasing, does not exist, therefore it is impossible to arise from it. Even if it arises from other conditions, it is not the creator. The appearance of other arising is in terms of observation. Because it does not exist at the time of the sprout, it is the seed. It is not self, because it belongs to the same continuum, so it is not other. Seed and sprout exist and do not exist mutually. Through analytical observation, there is no arising for it either. Wanting both to arise is the fault of both. If blue and so on are prevented, it is like not being able to establish variegated color. Both arising is not autonomous, but established by dependence. Without cause, it never arises and never does not arise. Occasionally seeing arising is also harmed by fame. If things arise when pervasiveness is established, then it must be these four. Because things are pervaded by both self and other. Not arising from the four pervades self-nature as unborn. Like the hair of a tortoise, these things, because they do not exist, it is said that they do not arise. When the proof is established, the meaning has already been established, therefore it directly and mainly establishes its name. Although the reasoning of dependent establishment can refute all discriminations, it is not powerful when observing the nature of things. Some say it is not completely non-existent, because it is dependent origination. This wants to establish what has already been established. The observation of the four sentences of existence, non-existence, arising and ceasing, etc., should be known as subtle incidental meanings. There is no stopping, because there is no arising, it is not other, because there is no one, come

Since there is no arising and going away, it is not established; since there is no cessation, it is not permanent. These are the supreme fundamental reasons. All the reasons of the Madhyamaka school are followers of these alone. Since all phenomena are both without self, there is no distinction in terms of essence. They are distinguished by reversing from the way of negating the object to be negated. For the sake of following the respective categories of the Lesser and Greater Vehicles, the Victorious One spoke of these two. The object to be negated of this is not real, the object to be negated of the subject is reversed because it is a false concept. If it were real, who could negate or affirm existence or non-existence? Likewise, in Suchness, the self of conventional phenomena never exists, which is the selflessness of phenomena. Other than ultimate truth, phenomena, in their own essence, are not established from the beginning, and that is also nominal. In all nominal, manifest, and hidden phenomena, a real self never exists. Only on that basis is it nominally called the selflessness of persons. Since these two pervade all phenomena, they are the common characteristics of all phenomena. The Lord also said: Because there is no self and self-nature, on one's own essence, because it does not abide, and because it is apprehended, because there is no existence, it is asserted as without essence. Because the later is the basis of the former, because of the absence of essence, there is no birth, no cessation, and it is originally peaceful. The nature of nirvana is accomplished. The beginning, thatness, otherness, and one's own characteristics change in self and other. From all afflictions and distinctions, tolerance is taught for the unborn dharma. Those are nominal designations for the complete absence of birth, such as the example of a painting and the clearing of muddy water, etc., are nominal designations for the absence of true birth. The meaning of unborn should also be understood in this way. The essence, permanence, selflessness of persons, and the nature of being all-encompassing and pervasive are contemplated on the basis of emptiness of the selflessness of phenomena. This is beyond the realm of words, concepts, negation, and affirmation. It is free from oneness, otherness, birth, cessation, and elaboration. Therefore, it cannot be refuted by previous reasoning, just as the characteristics of a house are negated like a tree. The aspect of negation of the two selflessnesses is of ultimate truth, nominal designation is merely the basis of emptiness, which is ultimate truth itself. Here, there is no basis, path, result, or any dharma. Only the Dharmakaya of the Buddha truly exists. Ultimate truth is the place of all discriminating reasons.
