Incitement. The term "all Buddhas" is used in a general sense. That is, in the realms of the ten directions, for sentient beings wandering in the darkness of ignorance, as guides, becoming the lamps of the world, the Buddhas, for the stages of the path to enlightenment, having completely gone through the stages of the five paths and ten grounds, etc., without attachment or hindrance, have attained the unsurpassed state of Buddhahood. Or, even if they have attained the complete qualities of the path and its fruit, they do not become lax because of possessing them, for all those Buddhas, the protectors without attachment, I urge them to turn the unsurpassed wheel, that is, the wheel of the sacred Dharma. The wheel is like a chariot wheel, although its essence is a stable substance, it is able to reach other places through the transformation of its own form, similarly, that which is not destroyed by afflictions and other unfavorable factors, residing in the continuum of the Dharma teacher, is extremely stable, and is able to generate realization as if transferred to the continuum of the listener, this is the wheel of Dharma. Unsurpassed means transcending the world and not being common with the Dharma taught by gods and sages. Incitement means, for the emanation body Buddha who has not been long since becoming a Buddha, and who has not yet turned the wheel of Dharma in this world, generally requesting them to turn the wheel of Dharma. Generally speaking, although the wheel of Dharma is already being turned, it also includes requesting them to speak the Dharma that should be spoken at the present time. The Buddha has great compassion, and does not cling to samsara, nor is he ignorant, if one thinks that there is no need to incite, then it is also necessary to incite in order to generate respect for the Dharma. The most important thing is that although it is impossible for the Buddha not to teach the Dharma, for the sake of one's own mind and sentient beings, in order to accumulate merit, this is the method of training the stages of the mind. Request to Remain. The sixth is: For whatever actions of showing Nirvana, for the benefit and happiness of all beings, I pray that you remain for as long as eons and the number of dust particles in the Buddha-fields, I prostrate with folded hands. Ultimately, the Buddha does not completely enter Nirvana, but shows the act of entering Nirvana.

For those who wish to show the way to fully enter into Nirvana, it is necessary to request the Buddha to remain in the world, because the very presence of the Buddha in the world naturally brings limitless benefits and happiness. In order to immediately benefit all sentient beings and bring lasting happiness, I pray that, in terms of time, they remain for as long as the number of dust particles in all the Buddha-fields of the ten directions. I, the petitioner, pray in this way, and the way to pray is: with palms together, I respectfully pray. Immediate happiness refers to wealth and power, etc., while lasting benefit refers to Nirvana. Dedication of Merit The seventh is: prostrations, offerings, confession, rejoicing, exhortation, and supplication. Whatever small merit I have accumulated, I dedicate it all for the sake of perfect Bodhi. As mentioned above, prostrating to the supreme object with body, speech, and mind, making offerings with the two types of offerings, confessing sins through the door of the four powers, rejoicing in all the merits of the Shravakas and Aryas, exhorting to turn the wheel of Dharma, and requesting them to remain without entering Nirvana. Having done these six branches, all the small merits generated by the body that I have accumulated, that is to say, although in reality there is only that much, all the merits that I have done in the three times, and those that I have encouraged others to do, all the rejoicing and praise, and all the merits accumulated by all sentient beings in the three times, must also be combined into one with intention and dedicated. All of these must also be made equal to the Dharmadhatu. The wording "small merit" is also an implication. So, where are those merits to be dedicated? Dedicate them to the great Bodhi, the supreme Buddhahood. Who will dedicate them? I will dedicate them. If they are not dedicated to the supreme Bodhi, then their respective fruits will mature and be exhausted. The merits of those in Samsara will be exhausted in the happy realms, and the merits of the Shravakas and Pratyekabuddhas will also be exhausted in the realm of no remainder. If they are dedicated to Buddhahood, then even before Buddhahood is attained, one can experience the happiness of gods and humans, etc.
