I offer to the Buddhas daily with fragrant anointments, excellent umbrellas, banners, victory banners, and streamers. With endless excellent lights such as lamps, and pure, fragrant incense, both mixed and unmixed, that is burned. To those Victorious Ones who appear manifestly and as objects of mental activity, I make offerings every day. In between, some Chinese texts say that some later translators translated: "Excellent jewels and excellent necklaces, various beautiful divine objects, excellent banners and all excellent streamers, I also make offerings to those Victorious Ones." This does not appear in previous commentaries, nor is it in any old Tibetan texts, and no one recites it nowadays, so I have not written an explanation here, as it is easy to understand. With the pure garments born from gods and humans, and those sewn with rags, and offerings and offering substances, and excellent fragrant substances in the form of pills, and heaps of fragrant sand, made into balls, all kinds of piled-up offerings equal to Mount Meru, and all those excellent offerings that are particularly superior due to their beautiful arrangement. I make offerings to those Victorious Ones. Those things mentioned explicitly are just examples, as many good offerings and fine arrangements as there are in the world, are offered in the manner of actual arrangement and mental emanation. Secondly, the unsurpassed offering is: Whatever offerings are unsurpassed and vast, all those Buddhas rejoice in them. With the power of faith in good conduct, I prostrate and make offerings to all the Buddhas. Whatever offerings are made are unsurpassed, even below the realm of the gods, let alone exceeding it? There is nothing equal to it, it is the offering made by powerful Bodhisattvas. Moreover, it is vast because it fills all the Buddha-fields, and those offerings are also to all the Buddhas mentioned above. In particular, with the power of faith that rejoices in unsurpassed faith, and believes that there is immeasurable benefit in doing good, the Buddhas are completely taken.

I prostrate and make offerings to all. Thus, the manner of prostration is inconceivable, and these unsurpassed offerings, in reality, cannot be accomplished, so they are accomplished through faith and aspiration, and to pray that such will be accomplished in the future, that is the main point of the meaning. As it says in the "Samantabhadra's Aspiration Prayer": "By the power of Samantabhadra's aspiration prayer." And "By the power of faith in Samantabhadra's practice." That is also what it means. Also, the sutra says: These three are the unsurpassed acts of offering and venerating the Tathagata. The act of offering will produce immeasurable, unsurpassed merit. What are the three? They are generating the mind of unsurpassed, perfectly complete enlightenment, upholding the Dharma of the Tathagatas, and practicing the Dharma as it has been heard. Thus, it speaks of three unsurpassed offerings. Here also, it says that faith in the Buddha and faith in Samantabhadra's practice are characteristics of unsurpassed offerings, the key point is the same. Confession of Sins The third is: Through the power of desire, hatred, and ignorance, with body, speech, and also mind, whatever sins I have committed, all of these I confess individually. Among them, the cause of sins is the three poisons, that is, the power caused by desire, hatred, and ignorance. The basis of sins is what is done by body, speech, and also mind, such as killing is done by the body, lying is done by speech, harming intention is done by the mind. The author is "what I have done." The actual confession is: Whatever sins there are like that, all of those I confess individually. In front of whom? As it says in "On a single atom," etc., in front of the immeasurable Buddhas and their sons. Among them, the fault of not confessing is: Because there is no regret for what was done before, thinking that sins are tolerable, the continuity of sins will increase, and if one does not restrain oneself in the future, bad deeds will not be exhausted. Therefore, one will continuously fall into the lower realms, not to mention liberation, even obtaining the heavenly realm is difficult. Confession of sins.
