Then, through whatever small amount of merit has been accumulated, may all sentient beings long for it in their hearts, and may they constantly recite various aspirations in their mouths. May all that belongs to the category of virtuous deeds be obtained and accomplished swiftly in an instant, without any effort or long waiting. This is actually through the merit of the virtuous deeds I myself have performed, wishing that all the good wishes of all sentient beings may be fulfilled, therefore it is entirely dedicated to the benefit of others. The second verse is: In whatever way this virtuous conduct is dedicated, may the immeasurable and supreme merit that is obtained, may all beings who are drowning in the river of suffering, obtain the pure land of Amitabha. Or in some versions it says: The merit of completely dedicating virtuous conduct, may it be with immeasurable and extremely excellent merit. Through dedicating this virtuous conduct, whatever merit is obtained in my continuum, that is, because the roots of virtue are vast, it is immeasurable, and because its essence is supreme, it becomes sacred merit, may all beings who are drowning in the river of suffering of birth, old age, sickness, and death, etc., of the six realms, obtain the pure land of Sukhavati of the Bhagavan Amitabha, where even the name of suffering is not heard, and it is forever a place of bliss, may they be able to obtain that supreme place, may they be able to be reborn there. In this text of the "Samantabhadra's Prayer of Good Conduct," in the early period of the early translation, it was translated by the great masters who were emanations such as Padmasambhava, among which the commentaries written by the four, the great Pandit Jayananda, Shakya Mitra, Buddha Kirti, and Ratnabhadra, were translated. On the basis of a good summary of the meaning, they were adorned with the words of the wise and some essential points of the scriptures, and Khenpo Yeshe De made a memorandum-style commentary. It is said that the commentary written by the great Pandit Vasubandhu, and the commentary written by Ngok Lotsawa Nagarjuna, are the same as Ratnabhadra's commentary except for the difference in translation, therefore, taking the original version as the standard, it should be written by Ratnabhadra, not by those two great Pandits. Ratnabhadra's commentary is also a brief summary of Jayananda's commentary.

Moreover, apart from adding a few verses at the beginning and the end, the rest seems like a transcription. I have not seen the commentary of Buddha Kirti, but here are completely included the important essences from the commentaries of Dharma Bhadra and Shakya Mitra. And, for the most part, it also follows the teachings of Yeshe De, and is explained with some embellishments of well-spoken words understood by oneself. In this way, it is like coming from the Gandavyuha Sutra, and according to most Chinese commentaries, there are sixty verses, and according to the commentary of Shakya Mitra, the latter two verses are added. At the end of most Tibetan versions of this sutra, there are these words: "These kings of aspirations, are the supreme lord, benefiting limitless beings, the pure lands adorned with Samantabhadra's practices are accomplished, may all the places of evil destinies be completely emptied." These words are not found in the sutra and the commentaries I mentioned earlier, and it is said that they are not in the commentary of Buddha Kirti either. It is said that the translators such as Pagor Vairocana Rakshita, who translated this sutra and its commentaries, composed it as a form of prayer for translation. I think it is like that, and the meaning is good. These kings of aspirations, accomplish as the supreme lord Buddha, benefiting limitless beings, especially all the places of evil destinies in all the ten directions are completely emptied, and all the ten directions are accomplished as special pure lands adorned with Samantabhadra's aspirations. Therefore, know that because the last three verses do not come from the Gandavyuha Sutra, even if they are not removed, there is no fault of omission. Here it is said: This profound and vast supreme aspiration, is not the realm of practice for ignorant ones like me, but in order to subdue my own wisdom, following the words of the holy ones, I think there is no fault. From the self-manifestation of emptiness and compassion, the supreme world of meditative practice, and the mind-made body and the inconceivable birth, death, and transference of limitless illusions, that is the Buddhas and great Bodhisattvas.
