When a Bodhisattva engages in Bodhisattva conduct, may Amitabha Buddha personally prophesy to me: You, in this world, in this kalpa, will become such a Buddha. May I, at that time, in that place, in the special mandala of companions, receive the prophecy. Fifth, may I, having received the supreme prophecy there, with hundreds of millions of billions of emanations, with the power of wisdom, in all ten directions, greatly benefit sentient beings. I, who make aspirations in the Sukhavati realm, having received such a supreme prophecy, with immeasurable hundreds of millions of billions of emanations, etc., with the power of wisdom solely focused on benefiting others, in all the worlds of the ten directions, in each and every instant, for limitless sentient beings, starting from saving them from the suffering of the lower realms, up to placing them in the heavens, as Shravakas, Pratyekabuddhas, and in unsurpassed Bodhi, greatly benefit them until the end of samsara. May I accomplish this. According to the commentary of Shakya Shé-nyen, one recites "with hundreds of millions of billions of emanations." And, after the verse "having gone there," one recites the phrase "greatly benefit." The two verses such as "The aspiration of the Excellent Conduct," etc., are not found in the existing Tibetan version of the Sutra of the Arrayed Tree, nor are they explained in other pure Chinese commentaries. However, they are found in the commentary of Shakya Shé-nyen, and also in a separate Chinese edition of the Excellent Conduct. Khenpo Yeshé Dé also explained it, so it should be regarded as the words of the Sutra. Therefore, although it is not included in the previous five sections, it is called dedicating solely to the benefit of others. The first verse: By reciting the aspiration of the Excellent Conduct, whatever small virtue I have accumulated, may all the virtue of the aspirations of beings be perfected in a single instant. Reciting means reading and reciting the scriptures of the aspiration of the Excellent Conduct. From this, I have accumulated.
