Some consider this explanation to be well-stated, but there are also some places that seem inappropriate. However, since in ancient India, when the teachings of the Great Vehicle Prajñāpāramitā were completely pure, they were spoken by scholars who were well-known for their eloquence, some terms are quoted here to understand the reasoning. However, in order to facilitate explanation and understanding here, speaking in another concise way, there are three parts here: summary, explanation, and conclusion. The first part is three verses, namely: 'The Buddhas of the past and the ten directions, Wherever they dwell in pure worlds, May they be objects of offerings. Those who have not yet come, may they come quickly, Perfecting the stages of enlightenment in order, May they quickly attain perfect enlightenment.' The Buddhas of the past, that is, the Buddhas who have passed away, and all the Buddhas who are now abiding in the pure lands of the ten directions for the benefit of beings, may they be offered with all kinds of offerings. And those Buddhas who have not yet come, that is, those who have attained Buddhahood in Akanishta, but because the time for their disciples has not yet matured, they do not manifest a Nirmāṇakāya in the world, or those great Bodhisattvas who can quickly attain Buddhahood, without difficulty or effort, quickly fulfilling their intentions, when the time is ripe, such as showing birth in Tushita, etc., showing according to the order of attaining enlightenment in accordance with the Dharma, may they come and attain Buddhahood. That is, those Buddhas who have already attained Buddhahood in Akanishta, the ripening of their respective disciples, etc., quickly fulfilling their intentions, may their Nirmāṇakāya quickly appear, and the intentions of the great Bodhisattvas, quickly fulfilling the remainder of the two accumulations, may they attain Buddhahood. That is, dedicating to the fulfillment of the wishes of these Buddhas and Bodhisattvas, and for this, one must also fulfill one's own wishes, so these two, offering and supplication, are making aspirations for the complete fulfillment of one's own and others' wishes. Again it is said: 'The fields of the ten directions, as many as dust motes, May all of them be completely pure, Bodhi'

May the Victorious Ones who have gone to the tree's empowerment seat, and the Sons of the Buddhas, be completely filled in all directions. May all the impure lands of the ten directions, as many as there are, be supremely vast like the land of Sukhavati (the Pure Land of Amitabha), free from all faults such as the lower realms, and may they become completely pure. Because all those realms are the best, the most excellent, the most supreme, and the ultimate of all forms of trees, may the Victorious Ones who have gone to the Lord of Trees, the Bodhi Tree, and have become fully enlightened Buddhas, and the assembly of Bodhisattvas, the Sons of the Buddhas, in their retinue, be completely filled with those who make offerings to the Tathagatas and establish infinite sentient beings in virtue. This is a prayer for the purification of the vessel and its contents, in two verses each. This is a prayer for the complete purification of the field. Again, it is said: May all sentient beings in the ten directions, as many as there are, always be free from illness and happy. May the Dharma purposes of all beings be in harmony and may their hopes be fulfilled. May all sentient beings in the ten directions, as many as there are, always be free from all kinds of diseases, without exception. May they be free from the three lower realms and all the sufferings of the higher realms, and may they be endowed with the bliss of desirable qualities and samadhi, complete in every way. May all the Dharma purposes of all beings, that is, the practices that are the cause of knowing all the higher realms and liberation, be such that everyone's intelligence is in harmony with each other, and may all the hopes that do not contradict the Dharma be fulfilled. 17-597 The ultimate meaning of hope is that it will become unsurpassed enlightenment, because all sentient beings want to obtain perfect happiness for themselves. The ultimate perfect happiness is nothing other than that. Even for the birthplaces of animals, the place of hope is to fully attain the state of enlightenment. Therefore, even if you do not explicitly pray, it is reasonable and achievable to accomplish it by measuring the way of desire. These are the prayers that ripen all sentient beings. This brief teaching shows that the three, completion, ripening, and purification, are complete, and it is the practice of a Bodhisattva.
